I have gotten info back from Anthony on the private Sail & Snorkel charter in Aruba. Will put the info together and post it today. Sounds like it would be a really great trip if we can get at least 12 people who are interested. Let me know if you have any questions so I can be sure to include the information in my posting.

I have a catg 5c gty, on the website it shows us still in deck 2 2574. Last time I did the Wonder we got ours about 45 days out. This past Jan on Carnival Dream we had a balcony gty and it was not assigned until we got to the port. I was checking daily and no assignment. We leave a week from today for Orlando. I have 2 nice passport stamps. One from Skagway Alaska and one from Venice. The one from Alaska is a train and the oher is a boat. If you want post cards with a stamp of Panama City. Give them to me. I will mail them from home when I return. That is Panama City Florida. Have started on FE and Secret mickey. About how many times for the FE? Sea Days? How many gifts? Never done one beore.

Yes it does!!! Although the chances are highly unlikely I would get a room assignment months out, I have been looking several times a week because every once in awhile, someone will mention getting their assignment at an unexpected time.

This is our first time with a GTY cabin. The suspense is killing me! At least now I know I am not in an inside, I am a little more relaxed.

Yes it is funny that random room assignments happen. I too would always be checking just in case.

There were so many of us GTY on the 08 WBPC that we allocated ourselves lifeboats, and someone made special printed T shirts with lifeboat crew on and a great graphic. All helped with the waiting. Lots of fun banter too!!!

The couple who designed it are on the Wonder at the moment, so I will contact them next week. I could look back on the old cruise meet threads though. That meet is now 18 threads long now!!!

From what I've been hearing, the cruise industry in general has seen a drop-off in bookings going forward this fall. With all the new ships launched, there may be some serious overcapacity.

And while Disney definitely has an edge in many ways, there is a lot more capacity on Disney too, and some of those new mega-ships are probably taking some business that Disney used to get. So there may be more discounts than in the past this year.

I don't believe a discount ever came out for CA or Interline to my knowledge....I am not sure if it still will or not. If I hear of anything - will let you know!

I just counted, and 45 days before we sail is November 22. That is my birthday, so I am sure there will be pleanty of pixie dust to go around!

On the EBTA we got lucky and I think we got the GTY room assignments much earlier than 45 days. Maybe we will get lucky again.

We have 2 GTY rooms and I am so hoping they get assigned close together this time.

Count me in as someone who was hoping for brunch at Palo, but only got dinner. Would anyone be interested in forming a group of 12-14 and making a request for brunch in the private dining area? I have never done brunch and I have never done private dining, but am willing to get a group together and fax the request to DCL. I understand that the request is not reviewed until about 30 days prior to sail, but that then we might know if we have to get to port early or not . . .
Let me know if you are interested.

I would like to be included as we couldn't get ressies for brunch, either. It would be dh and myself.

wow, went away unexpectedly overnight (went over the Bay Bridge, near Baltimore ) for dinner and stayed - had to go to walmart for underwear and toothbrushes, and i've missed a ton of pages!! you gusys are way too busy!! I also think it's funny that you are busiest while i'm at work and not in the evenings!!

anway, Dont forget to look for the bracelets too! we have sooo many lanyards from differentthings we didnt order them. did get name tags, and might remember to wear them, but i'llhave the bracelet on!!

to those going on the wonder next week, have fun - i'm jealous! we could have gotten on but just couldnt work it out. and dd is on it!! hope the weather is good and no hurricanes come.

i cant keep up with all the planned excursions! we've siged up with you for the cabo whale watching. lost track of the other ones being offered!

working on it! - we dont have flights to fla or home from CA to MD yet. or hotels for the night before the cruise - what do you guys suggest? Near port i think. do the hotels take you to the port? and are there any meet ups the night before?
