Greetings everyone!

Very little time right now, but I wanted to check in a say "Hi!"

Happy Veteran's Day to all who are serving, to those who have served and to their families! There are so many who have given everything for our Freedom and I am truly grateful! Let's start our Holiday Season by giving thanks to our service men and women!

Kay, I'm so glad your hubby is okay~what a scare that must have been.

Harole Ann, your DD is in my prayers!

I have my hair appointments booked too!!! 30th December for my pre cruise one like you!!!



On our 2008 PC cruise a large group joined together for Hummer hire. I think one from WDW and one from the airport. Baggage was in a trailer I think. I think they had a lot of fun and it wasn't too expensive each.

I have one days holiday left and I took that night off, I will try to pack and get sorted for hols, because I then go out to work on the 31st at 6pm and dont come home till moday am, I think Len and beags will come and stay with me at work on the 31st just as long as nothing dodgy in that the beagles can catch.

I think I have everything I need for this trip. I ordered from 6PM and that came really fast - placed my order on Sunday and it was here Wednesday! The shoes fit so that checked the last thing off the list. Hair, mani and pedi appts made, car rentals taken care of, airport pickup for when we get home checked off, dogs taken care of so I thnk all is ready.

You are well organised!!! I am getting there. Fortunately I bought a whole load of summer clothes this year as I lost quite a bit of weight and needed them. So, they will do for this trip as long as I don't put too much weight back on!!!

Much of the planning is done, but things we have to pay up front for are waiting till the last minute!!!

Oh wow, just can't wait.

I just saved some more money. My SW flight was reduced so now we have another credit to use for another flight. I think maybe May. I always get my hair cut at the MK so Wednesday afternoon I will get it cut there. It is one of my most favorite things to do at Disney complete with pixie dust.

Post Card Exchange Update

Postcard Exchange Update
How it works: cruisers buy postcards of their area/country/town/city etc. and deliver them to each person/cabin on the list. Some people elect to make their own postcard using photos they have taken. Others print local recipes on a card. It is great fun to come back to your cabin and find mail.

Will be patient 10 more days for my upgrade from life lifeboats.

Going to go find luggage today. And a bathing suit for DD10 None to be found around here.

Not sure what else we need at this point. Have to start laying out outfits and see whats missing.

Can't wait for Disney to make known the schedule of nights!

Val sent me a larger copy of the logo and I will be making a magnet for each Champagne Girl. They will be 2 and 3/8ths x 3 and 5/8ths and laminated.

Would you rather find it on your door or receive it at the event? I am willing to take it around to all our rooms - as I can use the FE spreadsheet as a reference.

PUNTARENAS, COSTA RICA TOURS UPDATE

Ride in an air-conditioned spacious vehicle, being driven by an experienced driver, to Costa Rica’s most popular national park, Manuel Antonio, where our private nature guide will give us a narrative of the geologic features, national history, local botany, as well as exotic tropical birds, monkeys and sloths we will see. Guide will provide books, binoculars and a spotting scope we can share during our tour

Then enjoy the Manuel Antonio beach, equally good for snorkeling, swimming and just laying on the beach before a lunch stop at a quality restaurant where we can choose among traditional Costa Rican favorites or more familiar foods, such as burgers and fries or sandwiches.

On the way back to the ship we will have an opportunity, if time permits, to stop at a number of photo opportunities and souvenir shopping spots. These might include Villa Lupas and Santa Lucia, an eco-friendly resort within a tranquil rain-forest preserve for nature lovers.

Oddessy has offered to provide us with two 34 seat buses for 14 to 22 passengers and two 16 seat vans for groups between 6 and 8 passengers, allowing ample room for a comfortable journey and movement to see animal sightings.. Of course there will be driver and nature guide on each vehicle for the party going on it.

The cost of this full-day tour, with park entry fee and lunch included is $85 per person plus tip. Children under 8 years old receive 15% off, under age 3 are free. UPDATE: Oddessy Tours can now accept credit card payments.

This last cruise we had a whole sheet waiting in our rooms on embarkation outlining each night, the dinner menu, theme dining attire etc, so at least there should be that. I found it very useful.

Jen, you should be able to get an answer from them. They gave me all the theme/formal nights for the Baltic when no one else could get an answer. Shoreside concierge has to be some of the most helpful people I've ever dealt with. I wish we had them for this cruise, but definitely glad we've got them for Alaska.
