I know this has been posted, but I thought I would repost since I just got the information from DCL.

If you're going to send a package to be delivered to your stateroom it must arrive at the DCL Warehouse no later than 3 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 5. The outside of the package must include the lead name on the reservation, the sail date and ship, your stateroom number, and a detailed packing list (especially list meds).
The address is:
Disney Cruiseline Warehouse
8633 Transport Dr.
Orlando, FL 32832

Hope this helps someone else!

I broke down and ordered the shoes. As someone pointed out, they are Stuart Weiztman shoes, which are not cheap. BUT 6pm had one pair in the silver in my size for 50% off with free 2 day shipping. I couldn't resist. They'll be glued to my feet on the boat!

YES!! Great shoes and a discount!! WOOT!!

An idea about mailing tubes...
What about wrapping paper rolls? I know some of them are very flimsy but I have some that are quite sturdy. In fact, one is empty and I've been meaning to throw out and it is so thick I can't even get it so smash in to condense. So, there is a reason I've been meaning to forget to throw it away! DH can cut it down for me. If it is long enough for 2 16" tubes, I'll bring the extra one along. I also have other of the same paper (from the Disney store non the less :thumbsup2) and if I happen to finish any of those off and I can bring those as well. :goodvibes

As far as helping out with the seals, I'd love to help out if I can.

Great idea about wrapping paper tubes! Kay - I can help with the seals if you decide to do them.

Corinna - yay for Rose Regale!

Thinking of shipping a box to the port....afraid my FE gifts will be lost if I do.

Kay -- if you still have one, we would love to take one off your hands.
Harole Ann -- I have the same Mickey in one of my kitchen windows.

Carly's been working on our FE gifts while I tried on clothes today. I've got piles folded on the couch in my bedroom. Tormorrow it's off to the tailors to get a few things altered.

Night all,
tenya

You are added to my list :thumbsup2

Kay -- I would like one, if you have it left after the previous post requests. I'll bring $ with me & buy you a DOTD:cool1:...we are stateroom 5133!

Since the 'great poster fiasco of 2005', we always travel with a poster mailing tube! I like the wrapping paper tube idea as well, ours get turned into swordspirate:for the wrapping party!

Thanks,
Tahara

Got you added to my list :thumbsup2

GOOD Morning, happy Cruisers!

It's a nippy 9 degrees F here, this morning.

:goodvibes

I think the seals are probably meant to be embossed after they're on the certificates like a birth certificate would have a 'raised seal', but for me, that's a detail. Are they adhesive paper?

How big are the seals, and would you want the mickey head raised or intaglio?

I have a method by which I *think* it could be done, albeit labor intensive.

Happy Day, all!

When it comes to embossing, I am clueless. :confused3

The instructions say to emboss the seal before sticking them to the poster. They are adhesive and we have a little ribbon to go with/under the seal. The example is a raised emboss, but I am sure we can do what ever.

Size is about 1.25 inches approx (from memory). I can go measure if you need a more accurate size.

Don't forget that Ducky is on our cruise so the tube should be big enough for a litho! :cool1: And you may want to bring one even if you didn't order the certificates.

Good idea :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks Kay. We're in 7602 I think. How much are they so I'll know how much to bring?

They are $5.75 - a bargain :) Considering if we all ordered individually, they would have cost about $20 each.

So as of now I have takers for all my spare certificates

Better go get the kids to school, and its my morning to work with 1st grade in art. Fun

I was going to send my FEs and door decorations. But we have free luggage so I decided it was safer traveling with me. I was really worried about a mix up otherwise

Party in the laundry room!:lmao: I'm in!!

I have white capri pants packed also.:thumbsup2

Friend is on the PodCast cruise in Nassau today. She says its cold and windy. And no Castaway Cay today. They are staying tied up in Nassau and will try again to get to CC.

Lynne! Wowzers! Be safe and keep warm.

For those of you beginning your Holiday travels be safe! Can't wait to see you all on board!

Apparently, the wristbands and the lanyards were not neccessary. We will know each other by our white capri's!:rotfl2:

Morning everyone! Found out this morning that I earned A's in both of my classes this semester. This is a HUGE relief as my professor ripped the first half of my thesis to shreds. She thankfully allowed me to rewrite it. My traditional treat to myself is a new pair of shoes when I get a 4.0 for a semester. (The last two semesters I didn't). I really want a pair of sparkly silver shoes... what do y'all think of these:

I think that counts as another A! Jenn, you and I need to have a nice chat about online shopping. I live in a retail desert....nothing for miles and miles.

Kay, Do you have any left? If so I'd like one please.

Who can I contact to be added to the FE list?

The fact that Christmas is next week is killing me. :scared1: The good news is I started packing. If I could only get all my laundry caught up. :laundy:

Have a fabulous day everyone!

-Beth

I cant believe its xmas next week:scared1:
Lynne, You scared me into looking at the calendar. I tried to tell my sisters we should move our Christmas celebration but they weren't buying it. We were suppose to have friends over today for lunch and a trip to the Impressionist Exhibit at the DeYoung today. When they called to cancel due to sickness my first thought was HURRAH. Then I felt so guilty. I really love them but didn't know how I would find room in the dining room for us to sit down never mind eat. Why do we do this to ourselves year after year after year?
Rick Steve had a special on last night about Christmas traditions in Europe. In the UK they mentioned figgy pudding and minced pies. In Norway it was hot cereal. I was thinking what yearly Christmas brunch is at my house; ham, bacon, sausage, potatoes, hash, bisquits and gravy, egg casserole, danish, monkey bread, juices, hot chocolate/tea/coffee. No wonder we are so fat -
I had thought to mention the other day that I am sure you take wonderful care of your pony and know they have thick coat, but your picture of the darling standing in the snow compared to puppy smiling in the warm sun pulled at heart strings.

Jen - Beautiful shoes - enjoy.

Val, if this tour doesn't happen for you, then you and Bob are always welcome to go out the Golden Gate with us on our sailboat to whale watch. Of course, not till summer though.

Please keep our troops overseas in your thoughts and prayers. Our oldest son is in Africa until May. His daughter's sixth birthday was yesterday, so we did Chuck-E-Cheese.....hooray! He has an 8 yr old son also. So he will have missed Thanksgiving, her birthday, Christmas and possibly his son's birthday on this deployment. I know their are others also away from their families and I wish them all a SAFE holiday.

As I was finishing this the phone rang and it was my son in Africa. It was SOOOOOO good to hear his voice and know he's healthy. That's the first time he's been able to call since he deployed.

Makes you think about what is really of value - I am sure you wouldn't trade that call for anything. Bless him and the families that wait at home. Thank you

Judy, how sweet you are to offer. We would love to sail with you anytime.

I just wanted to THANK YOU for posting this. How did you find out about this? I had no idea. Both DH and my passports expire in May. I never thought it would be an issue. Now we will be rushing to the County Clerk's office first thing tomorrow.

Thank you again for posting this...I wouldn't have known otherwise!
It is really hard to find out info on the web or by phone call (voice mail hell) about this issue. Even calling DCL is a trial. It seems to differ from country to country, with Europe the most difficult. Bottom-line it seems to be which agent you get. Seems like having at least 6mths is the safe way to go.

I was going to send my FEs and door decorations. But we have free luggage so I decided it was safer traveling with me. I was really worried about a mix up otherwise

Remember when we were twenty-somthing and one medium suitcase for both of us was enough? It is all the stuff to lift, separate, smash and the pills to keep us standing.

Docs arrived yesterday.

Val

Thanks to everyone who PMed me with the info DCL needs for the Champagne Girls and Mixology. I haven't heard from Matty204 and Mom4mad. Does anyone know their status?

Still waiting to hear back from DCL. Will let you all know when I do.

Oh my, I'm still laughing over this one, so true!:lmao:

Jen - Congrats & I love the shoes, they're well deserved.

Judy - We'll be praying for your son to stay safe and that you'll get another precious call from him soon.

Our cousin is scheduled to process out of the Army the end of January and I just made our son a flight reservation to fly back to North Carolina to help him move his stuff back to CA. I hope all goes well for their drive across the country.

I do love to shop online. It fits better with my schedule. I'd be more than happy to give you all the places I deal hunt for online.

We've emailed conceirge AGAIN about private events not getting back to us. At this rate we'll be on board setting stuff up!!!

I totally agree! While I do like a lot of the earlier episodes, my favorite seasons are the later ones. One of my favorite episodes is in season 5, "The Next Phase." Great episode! Also "Time's Arrow." Probably my second favorite cliff-hanger episode behind "Best of Both Worlds."
If you want to start talking about two part shows, I think the best one was Chain of Comand part 2. Patrick Stewart really deserved an award for that one. That is one of the most deep shows I think they ever did.

I don't know if it is a slow news day or what but I just listened to a report on our local news warning about about gang violence. Gangs of raccons are running out of bushes and attacking people walking their dogs. They also are warning these gangs come in through doogie doors and assault pets in their own homes!!!

We have had them come in through our kitty door and go through the pantry in the basement. They like junk food but not so much cheerios or rice.

Jen - I think you are right. Those of you who were on the WBTA, did we know when the tastings were going to be held before we got on the ship? I think we did, about 2 weeks out, because it was in our personal navigator. I have been told the delay is because of the cruise director dept. Apparently they have first grab at the space on the ship. Before any special events can be approved, they have to have their schedule. Then special events organizers need to get approval from whomever, the catering dept. etc. before they can let us know.

Have they given the wedding renewal planners a definate date and time yet? I would hope they have priority. I have heard of them changing the date and time of weddings. Hope that was an unavoidable event.

I agree, Stewart did an amazing job in that episode, but i just can't handle watching him get tortured. If I watch that episode, i usually fast forward through those parts. I've seen them once, and once was enough for me.
