Friends said it took them 3 hours to get from Contemporary to DHS. Really glad we skipped this. We spend every NYE at Disney with these same friends and they said NYE is a breeze compared to tonight's madness.

if more people used disney busses this would me a much smaller problem.....so let me hear about you driving to the parks eveyday so you dont have to wait for a bus...nights like this should only be for disney resort guests ONLY using provided transport.....

We have been at DHS since 4:30 today. Crowds are crazy! Traffic is even crazier!!! Disney did not plan well for this event at all.

I posted on another thread but I am sorry for those that had to sit in traffic. We took a taxi from pofq and just past the light prior to turning in the traffic was horrible- we told the driver to take us tithe boardwalk- that was horrible too. We made the choice to get dropped off and go to Epcot then hit up the boardwalk I was sad at first but very happy now!

Are you saying that this event should have only been for resort guests? and that resort guests should only have been allowed to use buses?

We are here now sitting in front of dockside diner waiting on the fireworks. I haven't seen this many people here in a long time. We can't even figure out the lines for the villains (not that we spent a long time trying to figure it out). I hope after the fireworks the crowd will thin out some!

We attempted to go but like others have said, the traffic was insane. Figured it wouldn't be worth going with how insanely busy it would be. Turned around and came home. It was nuts. I have never seen traffic like that on property ever!

Awful! Awful! Awful! It felt like I was back in the college years when I worked in a bar! We were able to get there about 3:00, so didn't experience any of the traffic problems. If you are in traffic now, just turn around because it is not worth it. They closed a lot of attractions and really only added the dance party, character meets, and alcohol stands. It should have been a hard ticket event with more to offer and fewer people. Think of it as a capacity attendance with 90% of the people crammed in about 20% of the park area. And most are 20 somethings wanting to get drunk(er).

yes....or be bused in from other locations cars sould be limited someway

I will add an even bigger NO!!!! To this.
I stay on property every trip but that would have been grossly unfair!
Can not even see why you would think that would even be ok to exclude all those other people who don't stay onsite "ENTITLED MUCH" ?? Comes to mind!

I made a HUGE mistake scheduling my disney trip next weekend. WOW those fireworks were the best I have seen. And I had to watch online, can't imagine how much better they were in person.

I made a HUGE mistake scheduling my disney trip next weekend. WOW those fireworks were the best I have seen. And I had to watch online, can't imagine how much better they were in person.

Lol, watching that show made me regret my decision to stay home a teensy bit, I must admit!
