OFFICIAL New Animal Kingdom Experiences UPDATE 5/28: Reports from first night in Post #2

I did not look through all 68 pages so I will ask my question. How is wheelchair access treated? Do you need a fast pass? What side do you have to sit on? This will be our first trip with someone in a wheelchair so we don't know all the ins and outs.

Thank you

This makes me so sad. I wonder what will happen to the show if the reviews continue like this?

Disney will continue to take your money for the dining package, that much I can tell you will be true.
I have this booked for next Friday, so I wanted quick feedback. What I am reading is exactly what I was afraid of.

If you invest more than 5 minutes waiting for this, you made a terrible mistake.

I have a feeling seeing this on stand by won't be so difficult.

We just watched the first show. The best thing I can say is the dancers really worked hard with what they had to work with. The audience would have loved to get into the show but just couldn't do it.

I love Disney but this just didn't do it for me or for most of the crowd.

Earlier I posted the preview last night was Baloo and King Louie spraying water on Mowgli with a garden hose.
Who knew that would be more entertaining?

Well now I'm kicking myself. I'm literally on a bus leaving AK now. It never occurred to me that JB would soft open tonight. I have the Tiffins dining package booked for tomorrow but the show sounds terrible. I want to eat at Tiffins, but the show doesn't sound worth it now. BTW, neither is the nighttime safari. Massive waste of time.

Ok, what is wrong with nighttime safari?

That's disappointing to hear about the safari. What was bad about it? Too hard to see the animals? Between that and JB, I'm wondering if there is much of a reason to stay beyond the old hours.

Ditto. I was just telling dh that this might make it easier to plan our trip! It's challenging to take in all the nighttime shows at Disney and I think 2 will likely be enough for us (holiday wishes and SW fireworks at DHS). Maybe ROL will be up and running by the time we get there after Thanksgiving but I'm still not sure we'll bother.

We didn't do the nighttime safari. My guess...the animals aren't that into it. They have their routines and it's bedtime for most...

Scenery, backup dancers, but no characters?

Wow. What a disappointment. Very underwhelmed.

I was already on the fence with the nighttime safari and how they were going to not make it look like flood lights on the animals, and now with the reviews of the show......meh. I have already gone in and switched around our FP selections for next week. We will still go late afternoon as planned but instead do all the other wonderful things we know already make Animal Kingdom an awesome park and just get the bonus of enjoying these things through the evening and night. And now maybe we won't end up being out until 11pm with a planned rope drop at HS the next morning lol!
