Quick report of my trip so far. Everything is going so smoothly so far that I've been way ahead of my schedule every day!

Got to DHS Sunday afternoon. We did RnR (first time my DS has been on a coaster in years and loved it!), ToT, Star Tours, and a couple other things. Went to the SW dessert party and met @Daniela Rose and @brnrss34 there. The desserts were delicious and the show was cool.

Monday we did rope drop for EMH at AK and made a bee line for FoP. They were actually letting people go in earlier than the posted 8 am time. We were in so quickly and so far up in line we didn't get to go through the room with the floating Avatar, they basically took us through the FP lane even though we started out in standby lane. We were on and off the ride in less than 30 minutes! By the time we got off it was up to a 150 minute wait. I can echo what others have said, FoP is AMAZING! We did EE, Tough to be a bug, a couple of other things before meeting @ChiefM and @brnrss34 for a bit. We went back to our resort and rested for a bit. That evening we went to MK and rode 7DMR as well as taking in a couple of other things. Then we did the HEA garden dessert party. Again, the desserts were de-li-cious! We thought the show was awesome and the view was great.

This morning we rope dropped AK again and made a bee line for Na'vi River. We were on and off in 15 minutes. It's ok IMO. The imagineering is beautiful, no doubt about it. But it's just eye candy, no meat to it, and too short. I wouldn't wait a long time for that one. I'm glad we did it but don't need to do it again. We've done KS both mornings. The animals were so active both mornings! Today one of the giraffes came so close to our vehicle we could have petted it. And, when we came around the corner, it looked like one of the lioness's was getting to leap across and attack. Absolutely amazing both days. Right now we're back at POP after a couple of hours at Disney Springs. For what it's worth, Deluxe Burger in Disney Springs, the burger is huge and it's delicious! DS wanted to hit the pool for a bit. Tonight it's back to AK. We've got FPs for FoP and RoL.

Tomorrow we'll visit DHS late morning, Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon, then back to DHS for Fantasmic.

To anybody thinking about it for their next trip, I highly recommend the dessert parties. Well worth the money IMO.

Bottom line it's been an amazing trip so far!

Arrived yesterday. My DH had to wait 80 minutes to get our rental car, that has never happened to us before, usually a fairly quick process. Budget rental car gets a D-.

Spent this morning at DHS, waits at noon were about 40-75 minutes for headliners. We had FP for what we wanted so thankfully didn't have to do too much waiting. Did Star Tours x 3 right at rope drop and had 3 different sequences, our favorite is the one with Darth Vader. Halloween lunch at Hollywood and Vine was super cute & fun even though my girls are outgrowing the characters, glad we splurged for that. The CM have been awesome so far. It is so HOT...had to leave for pool break before heading back to Star Wars fireworks tonight.

Went on FoP again tonight. It felt like a completely different ride than it did yesterday. Absolutely incredible! My DS summed it up perfectly. "This will ever get old."

Also saw RoL. Really, really cool! They still haven't worked all the kinks out yet, surprisingly. Of the four flower pods, the one that started out directly in front of us didn't function until about half way through the performance.

Walked through Pandora after RoL. Really pretty! Honestly, I was a little underwhelmed, though. I went in expecting to be blown away. It was pretty but not something that took my breath away. The lighting on the floating mountains and particularly the waterfall was really well done, though, IMO.

Walked 9.07 miles today. Tired but feeling blessed!

Went to AK today. Boy was it sweltering! Was able to accomplish a lot in 4.5 hours-2 rides NJRR, FP FoP, Safari, EE x2, Dinosaur & Tough to be a bug. End with Mickey ice cream for the kids.

NJRR-was beautiful. True to what to what you see in the movie scenes. Lovely place to relax and cool off. The Navi person was so real looking!
FoP-AMAZING, no ride like it at Disney or Universal or anyplace I've bee!!! Stunningly breathtaking. Every part of it so well done.

Just a quick update. We went back to DHS tonight for our Fantasmic dining package. Arrived at the park around 6 pm. RnR and ToT were basically walk on.

Went to Disney Springs for the first time in 4 years. OMG! Really nice but you know what I think? It's got a whole lotta shops I'll never shop in. Too rich for my blood. I can't believe they took out Team Mickey! Booooooo!

Tomorrow it's Epcot for a few hours, one last trip to Disney Springs, then it's back to the real world. It's been an awesome, awesome trip!

I’ve been going in Sept. past 4yrs and I’ve found the parks more crowded this year. Thank god for FP. We are still having a blast though.
I agree. Yesterday was slow at HS that was the only day that didn't seem crazy to us. Halloween party was INSANE on 24th. We are bidding farewell to September trips. Booked April and going to book November from now on. I know those are crowded but at least it's cooler and no hurricanes. I will say I was impressed with the lack of rain. We were there 12 days and never saw rain except one day and we were in our room already getting ready for dinner.

Doing our second AK day today (much more relaxed than our first). We had a FP for FoP so that was nice. I could ride that over and over... it's just amazing. It's incredibly hot and crowded, but we have not stood in a line longer than 20min.

We just left this morning. I don't know if it was the heat, crowds or fact that we are booked in April already, but I am done and ready to go home. I always said I wanted 12 days, but I think it was too much in that heat.

We came home Tuesday. I was ready. Looking forward to planning our next trip. I'm also done with September. I can't deal with the stress of hurricane season. It was crowded and hot.

November/December it is for us next time.

I was there during the hurricane. It seemed like it blew people out of the parks and the humidity away for a while, but customer service became the longest line, I still enjoy fall because the decorations and other activities, but yeah, I agree. I think it's time to look for another season to visit. I didn't really paricipate in the food and wine till this year and have still yet to go to a concert even though I enjoy starship, i sill missed it. I would mostly go in the fall because the free dining, but even that doesn't seem to have the draw it once did.

I did Extra Magic Morning this morning. I arrived a few mins late but did SDMT 4 times a row, Peter Pan ×2 and Pooh then breakfast before 9am. I'm leaving soon off to off to do a few things on I-drive.

Now, we were there at rope drop three days later and rode SDMT once and it was a 90 minute wait when we got off! We went to extra magic hours and it was wall to wall! I've never seen the like at this time of year. At 9:09 AM I took a pic of Haunted Mansion lines...60 minutes!! It was crazy!

November/December it is for us next time.

Just don't go the second week of November...Jersey week and crowded. Also the second weekend in Dec is Pop Warner footballers and cheerleaders. We have found just after Thanksgiving and that first week of December to be wonderful!

We felt the same way about the Navi River. But we rode it right after FOP and thought that had something to do with our perception. And totally agree about Deluxe Burger!! Yum!

I think the increase of crowds the week we were there was b/c so many moved their week. We had a couple of hours in MK the day we left and we could tell a huge difference with much lighter crowds. Touring plans were off by usually 2, so if it said a level 5, it was a level 7 etc. But I don't blame them, this was very unusual and they are usually spot on.

I hope all who are there now are continuing to have a wonderful time and if there are any who haven't gone yet, hope you have safe travels and a magical time!!
