I'd love to see strollers/coolers separated at the security lines too.

Yes! I'm always scanning the lines to see which one has fewer strollers in it. I have four kids, so I've been there. But when all I have is a small backpack, getting stuck behind someone with the giant cooler, who's carrying a massive tote bag and pushing a stroller with another bag stuck underneath, stinks. We live near Hershey Park and when the water park is open, it's really bad because everyone has their suits, towels, changes of clothes, etc. I'm going to try going bagless at least a few times for our June trip to see if I can make it work so I don't have to even deal with the bag line.

we will see but I would be one complaining if that is smaller than another double stroller that is allowed and plus with it being higher it is easier seen in a crowd. have seen many people run into strollers when cutting thru crowds. guessing they don't see the lower stroller
Maybe that's part of the problem. They have those canopies on top. Could they obstruct views of parades, etc for people sitting, or in wheelchairs, or young children?

If you look, that was posted on the 25th. At that time, based on the wording, the Keenz was allowed. Now it is not. On their FB, they say that they are "in discussions" with Disney.

Frankly I hope Disney doesn’t continue to allow them. It was a work around at best. My kids are young, we carry to much stuff and frankly I hate those things. They cause issues and frankly I even hate using a double stroller! I’m hoping August is the last time it’s needed.

At a local park everyone uses wagons we tried it once I told my husband never again, a pain to push or pull, a pain to have all the extra crap. And I kept having to apologize for almost running people over, thanks but no.

I also hate being run into bt them too. I am so happy for this new rule I hope it is enforced.

Why? A wagon is a wagon. A wagon is not allowed. Doesn't matter if it's in the measurements. Why do people have a hard time accepting rules when they don't like them?

But if you are actually addicted to something, there is not much you can do about it. We go weekly. We have FP+ for Sunday. It's not a once a year thing where he can make a goal to quit. So yes, it will be inconvenient for us. Whether we all sit and wait inside for him or go out with him, that is a LOT of time just waiting for him to go in and out of the parks for a 2 min cigarette. He has always followed to rules and used the DSA's so this really stinks.
Why not just go on rides with the kids while he smokes? Since you do go all of the time, its not like dad is missing anything he hasnt already seen.

I was thinking the same thing and feeling sort of sorry for her. I guess if she has another adult she would have to do 2 doubles instead of the single but that actually takes up more park/bus space so seems counterproductive.

I wonder what she would do. That's the unfortunate thing about all of this. Some families have a genuine need for larger strollers, but because everyone had to push it, the families that need it most will suffer.

Congratulations!

There's a quad stroller on Walmart's website with dimensions of 48.50 x 33.00 x 39.50 which is within the new restrictions. Actually, all the ones I looked up at Walmart fit the new limits.

ETA: The new restriction is 31" wide .... this stroller would be too wide; but not too long.

Just a friendly request to remember DISBoard guidelines when posting/participating in this thread, particularly:

- Discussion of ways to circumvent Disney policy is not permitted.
- You may disagree with a poster’s viewpoint, and discuss the issue, but no name calling, being sarcastic or personal attacks.

:thanks:

The issues IMO with the wagons are even if they can be pushed people pull and if your pulling something behind you you can’t view it. You can’t move it if a kid comes running cause you won’t see the kid. You might miss a crack in the walk and your stuff goes flying. The are much harder to control then a stroller.

I have a wagon, I used it at a local amusement park 1 day never again, it’s so hard to control and make sure everyone is safe! It will stay for farm trips and walking to the park down the block.

Pretty sure the new restriction is 31 x 52 it doesn’t fit those guidelines

I might have to contact Disney, I wonder how a nicotine inhaler would fit into this, I can't see it falling under this umbrella, but now I'm generally curious.

Despite what people probably think, Disney has thought long and hard about these new rules and restrictions. They've thought about the benefits and consequences. I may not always agree with their decisions, but they don't make these changes just to make people mad. They see a benefit, even if not directly for consumers, so they implement them. It does get to be a bit much with the wagons that people pull around the parks. Parks are crowded enough as it is with people, let alone all of the devices they're carrying with them. We all can either make the necessary changes or stop going to the parks.

I think Keenz is out of luck. Disney made it's decision.
There are posters on their FB site that are sharing accurate information about the May 1st changes. So far I haven't seen official updated word from Keenz.
What's funny is that apparently Disney made their decision BASED on Keenz products. You can't get much clearer than "stroller wagons."
