Size six is a plus size i dare someone to call me overweight and sees what happens, I promise it will not be pretty i cant imagine being sny smaller snd healthy

I think in modeling it's considered plus size but in real life it's not.

Edit: Ah PP beat me too it!

As someone who wears a plus size, I'm more offended by people freaking out at the very thought of being designated "plus size" than by seeing that someone, somewhere, considers size 6 to be so.

Just food for thought.

I'm pretty sure the OP has worked hard and lost alot of weight. I think that gives her the right to her own feelings about her size.

Food for thought, there are alot of young girls and women who are already having a hard time feeling like they have to live up to the standards of weight and body image set by society. We don't need these girls thinking that a size 6 is plus.

In the real world a size 6 is not plus size. Take where you read these things with a grain of salt. A size 6 model being listed as plus size is a joke and disrespectful to those who are actually fuller figured. Instead feel happy for where you are and don;t let others dictate what the size means to them.

AN article (maybe not the same one)

Tink, you're fine!!

The article above mentions what you're talking about, but A - the idea that size 6 is not very small is ridiculous, and B - Tavie is right, the label shouldn't matter anyway!

The size 6 thing is about models, though, not the rest of us. - Though I find the idea that all models should be super thin ridiculous too! They should be showing how the clothes would look on the customers, and the article directly says:

“Right now, the average American woman is 5’4” and weighs between 140-160 pounds, and is between a size 12-14,” says Dr. Cederquist.

You look thinner than that to me, and I wouldn't want you to think you needed to lose more weight and then end up unhealthy.

Being fixated on numbers isn't healthy. If someone works to lose weight for health and fitness purposes and does so the results should be satisfying enough in and of themselves. The person who achieves the results desired and cannot recognize it or needs a steady dose of recognition from others to validate the results has merely developed a new problem that needs correcting.

Compare your before to your after to determine whether or not your hard work has paid off. It certainly looks like it has. Don't read articles about clothing sizes. Just don't.

The only person that needs to be happy with your progress so far is YOU. No one else's opinion (certainly no random article writer about the ridiculous fashion industry size standards) matters.

Wait, do you mean I shouldn't have thrown out all of my left shoes because an article I read said left shoes are absolutely out of style this year and no one is wearing them anymore?

From previous threads, I think her husband and parents are the reason for her losing weight. Personally, If my husband pressured me to lose weight I’d look him dead in the eye and order a pizza but that’s just me 😬
