***Official September 2020 Thread***

I hope you had great luck this morning and were able to get everything you wanted! Ours is in 3 weeks, and i have yet to nail down a plan or restaurants. Every time we make a list we wind up switching stuff out
Ours is Sunday and weve done the same thing lol I finally got it decided 2 days ago and dh comes home from work saying what about so and so lol I was like noooooooo, I don’t even remember what he said now, I just told him I said no I’m finished I’m not looking anymore haha

Excited to be going Aug 31- Sept 4, staying at Boardwalk. Taking my friend (first time visit for her), to celebrate her beating a very aggressive, rare cancer. I promised her if she fought and beat it we were going to have lots of adventures... including going to Disney.

Ok, so after hearing such rave reviews about After Hours events I am hoping for one when we are there. My soon to be 18 year old has no insterest in the Halloween Party but loves walk on or near walk on rides and I think that type of event would be more our style.
We have done After Hours at MK and AK, as well as the Halloween Party. I would do After Hours again in a heart beat... not so sure about the Halloween Party and by association the Christmas Party.

Welcome! Sounds like it will be a great celebration!

Congratulations to your friend!!! My wife went through breast cancer a couple of years ago. I wouldn't wish that on anybody. How awesome of you to take her! And her first visit!! How exciting!! I'm excited for both of you!

I've never done an after hours event. I mean, like, never even thought about it. There's been so much talk about it here and on the Facebook page, you've got my son and I all excited! Now I'm gonna be one unhappy camper if I can't go. LOL

Hello all! 😁
My fiancé and I are currently planning our honeymoon for 9/13-9/21!
It’s his first experience at Disney and I haven’t been since I was a kid so we’re kind of overwhelmed. :scared:
We’re currently looking at 3 different places to stay and we’re torn between Art of Animation, Port Orleans Riverside or Caribbean Beach. Any advice on which to pick?

Welcome! Glad you joined us. I guess my first question would be how much time are you planning on spending at the parks vs. resort? Example my DH and I are at the parks from opening to closing so we stay at a value because we just need a clean place to sleep. We do not do much at the resorts so no need to pay more. Our thought anyway. Join us in the FB group also and I am sure you can stir up a good conversation in there as well to help.

I doubt we’ll spend much time at the resort because we are definitely wanting to have the full open to close experience. I also heard the the new skyliner is a great perk to staying at AOA or DCB so that is an influence too

@ K Danger - We'll be staying at Coronado! I hope you have fun at whichever resort you decide to stay at!

ADRs is coming up for us on the 17th.

Just in time to make a last minute shuffle of park days. My two biggest ticket items is Sept 15th - it's my birthday and I really hope I snag a table for two at CRT!

Has anyone been to a September party? I hadn’t planned on going but honestly the tickets are really cheap for our dates. I’m looking at possibly Sunday the 13th.

I’ve only been to one party before and it was a few years ago and was a Christmas party during a time when there was free dining. It was so crowded especially on Main Street during the parade. The character lines were uber long.

So yeah anyone have any experience with mid September Halloween parties?

We went towards the end of September in 2018 on a Sunday night and walked onto basically everything besides SDMC and Peter Pan. Our travel agent told us to avoid Friday parties at all costs, since they're very crowded. Will be curious to see what the crowd's like for a Wednesday night party.

I changed my mind about something since this morning! I was going to put Via Napoli on the list but then switched it out for Biergarten. Instagram, and FB don't help either, becasue i'll see a post or whatever and am like ooooooo then change my mind again!

I'm really torn the party tickets are a lot cheaper than After Hour tickets. I'm sure we'll have both available on our trip. Just trying to decide what would be the best choice for us since rides are the priority which means we'd like less crowds. I'm thinking DAH is less crowded due the time it's at.

I've never done AH, so I can't comment on that, but there's a lot going on during the Halloween parties which helps to keep the ride lines low. SDMC was only a 30 minute wait, which is the lowest it was at any point during our trip, and I highly doubt that we actually waited 30 minutes. Really Peter Pan was the longest wait and the ride we waited the longest for. We walked onto Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Buzz, and all of the other main rides in MK sans SM (that was broken down at the time), which we weren't expecting.
