Found out today that we have 2 jobs shut down. The first being a hospital expansion, not sure how long that will be.
And second is a meat processing plant. We are shut down from there for 2 weeks so they can get their health/safety program up and running for construction workers.

TX State parks are still open for camping and day use, but all activities and rentals are cancelled. They will close any park that has a case, but so far they have been none. #lifesbetteroutside

All local schools are out until April 6 and they will evaluate afterward. I homeschool so it does not apply to me. DH works from home as well, so the only change in our life is that we can't buy TP right now... I am pretty close to buying some cloth wipes just in case we finally run out but he has banned me from doing so. Baby butts are not adult butts LOL.

Nothing is "banned" so far here in our area of Texas, but gatherings over 50 are recommended to be cancelled, so we have had some events closed because of it. Our family reunion is April 11 and the venue cancelled on us.

I have to homeschool the kido now. School is closed but they gave us tons of work to do. On the computer and in packets. Takes me a good 5 hours sitting with her. Lessons last about 7 hours. Lol. Part of the problem is figiring out what they want you to do, and getting the passwords lessons to load on the computer. Some of the sites are overloaded and will not work.

Food , is sparce in NJ now. At least in the area im in. Lucky ,im stocked up. Here are some pics, diffrent stores over the last week. 20200316_151022.jpg20200316_151008.jpg20200315_105419.jpg20200315_105415.jpg20200314_130025.jpg20200314_130029.jpg20200314_130321.jpg

Our schools busses are delivering breakfast ( I think, not sure ) and lunches to the kids at there normal bus stops.

I work in Athens, GA, home of University of Georgia. UGA shut down, all public schools shut down (I think in the entire state). In Athens Clarke County any public spaces can only have 10 people in them at a time except drug stores and grocery stores. Athens Clarke County shut down most of it's government except things like police, fire, water and trash pickup. I actually live about 8 miles away in Jackson County. As of Monday when I went to pick up my tags, all government was open there. My honey went to the grocery store at 8 am this morning and there was a line waiting to get in. We aren't going crazy stocking up but our freezer is full. My son works at a small grocery store in a bad part of town - Piggly Wiggly and he says it's been crazy. He is actually just supposed to be part time because of disability - he is management - he normally only works 3 days a week. He has worked every day since Tuesday at least 4 hours each day. I'm at work now but I work for a small 2 person company and am usually the only one in the building. My boss did come in yesterday but I had already sprayed all the door knobs and light switches with Lysol and did it again before I left. I only work 5 hours a day two days a week so will keep on while I can. We are an IT company so my boss does a lot of his work from home, we intended to set me up to work from home when we downsized but it never happened since I have to come in at least once a week to get mail and go to the bank. My honey has his own IT consulting company and works from home. He actually has a client with 5 locations in 5 states with hundreds of employees (accounting firm) they are in the process of setting everything up so everyone can work remotely.

All public schools are closed in KY. Hair salons, nail salons and gyms shut down. Dentists are taking emergency patients only. KY Derby has been rescheduled for Sept. 5. The biggest thing of all for my extended family has been no March Madness BASKETBALL!! March without basketball in Ky is unthinkable. 😥 My elderly mother and her siblings, all seniors, are stuck at home with no UK basketball to watch :D

Canada board is now closed to non-essential travel
This is killing our camping rallys. Our freinds up north can't come down and visit. Additionally, the closing of the campgrounds have put a real damper on my year. Where i had great expectations and plans for the spring, i now have nothing. What i was looking forward to all winter is now gone. Sad. Would it be wrong to wrong quarantine in the camper in the backyard, with the fire pit going?

My camper is at dealer getting warranty work done. If it wasn't for that I'd be quarantined in it right now.

MS just extended school closure through April 17.

I fully expect school to remain closed remainder of academic year in any places it has closed all ready. They are all ready preparing as if the word for that was given here in CT.

All of here agree that we will not be surprised if we are told "See you all in August". End of year testing is already removed, teachers guaranteed pay and no funding will be lost...it's almost a no brainer. They'll save some of the money by not using utilities or burning fuel for the buses.

So sjm9911, nobody there eats Honey nut Cheerios or Starburst jelly eggs? LOL, Schools closed here, most bars and restaurants have moved to curbside or closed, they want gatherings of no more than 10 people. Just saw a funeral notice, obit said visitation from x to x time, then no more than 10 people at a time. Still can buy most everything we want, we were stocked pretty good anyway, didn't buy 9 pkgs of 48 rolls of tp, I heard it's not that good grilled or in soup. :lmao: Social distancing, we did that before it was trendy. Live on 2 acres a couple miles outside of town, Town of 5000, ag community. Was a little disappointed in one of our local bars tuesday, after announcement on Monday to limit gatherings to 10 or fewer, the bar decides to start limiting on Wednesday, right after St Pat's day! State cases here are reported at 32, few in hospital, most reported cases are from people traveling out of state, etc. Okay people, do you read about this virus, you really don't need to go skiing in Colorado at the moment. Hope everyone stays safe!

How is everyone adjusting? I know for us it's surreal. I have some structure with work every day, though its from home and we being a social society it is different that we don't really see more than the others in our homes. Melissa is waiting on guidance from the school system, we really only know that from now through the 14th school is closed, yet I suspect that may extend some and they might try to get some online learning going to keep the kids in practice.

The kids are off and on ok with it. Though lots of questions and clinging to mom happens.

We started to queue up our spring projects too, we still have mulching to do, yard cleanup after winter and drop the rest of a tree that broke in a wind storm. After that I will start the prep on melissa's request for her library with built ins. For now that is the room wall prep and painting. I will need to measure and pick up all the wood for that once I have some space cleared out of the garage. I figure if we are in this for a while, just get to work right?

The Illinois governor (where I live) just issued a "stay at home" order. We can go out for essential items, but that's it. I had been going in to work, but looks like I'll be working from home now.
