How low would resale BWV or BCV price have to go to be “worth it” to you?

So, bumping this thread again. It looks like from the ROFR thread that BWV has several contract waiting a 110 pp. I’m tempted to make an offer on a contract, but the thought that it will go to 90 pp later this year is making me hesitate. Where do you think it will end up?

I'm hoping <$100 in the next few months. We shall see though. We're not planning to purchase just yet.

Offer $90 pp now. If they don’t accept or counter, no big deal. If the contract is still sitting there in two weeks, go back to them and offer $88 pp.

A $17,000 backpack and a $1,000 folder (at least for me) compared to purchasing resale. They can keep 'em!
We got hats for our purchase. I wore them for years in the parks, once we were purchasing something at a store in DLR and after I placed my hat on the counter to get out my credit card the CM tried to ring up my DVC hat ... DH immediately spoke up and said "No, you can't charge us for that again that was a twenty thousand dollar hat!!!"

I have to say that the one Beach Club I saw that was 139pp is now at 132pp. I did offer 119pp. They countered but I am holding out. They want buyer to pay for the dues left for 2020 plus closing. I dont mind paying closing but dont want to pay for the rest of the dues.

I think BWV is a great buy at current pricing. Arguably the best location out of all the resorts (of course, that depends on which parks you like the most), and low point requirements to book. BCV is overpriced IMO. I am currently looking for the right contract to add at BWV. I will keep monitoring prices and it would be an added bonus if they start dropping.

Yes, Yes, and Yes! lol

Everyone talking about the dropping resale value as we approach 2042 was a plus in my mind. I knew we'd add on as we go, so hoping / waiting for prices to fall.

I'd say specifically, I'd jump on a small BWV @ $100 / pt. That's what I'm waiting for. I'll give it up to 1 year. If I have to pay more, I guess I do. We'd like about 60 more points.

Wear that $20K hat proudly!
I have a $6K DVC-BookBag :earboy2:
ET:darth:

I’ve been looking at the BCV points chart. Do the 2 BR lockoffs actually sleep 9 people? The points chart says 8, but if a studio sleeps 5 and a 1 BR sleeps 4, shouldn’t it be 9?

My target is $100 but my offer of $100 for 174 BWV points with all 2020 points was just rejected. It is listed at 119 and they countered at 117. I guess I'll have to wait a while longer.

That's going to be tough price to get right now (though maybe not impossible). Maybe in 3 months.

I figured it was worth a shot and I'm in no hurry. On the plus side, the seller responded in under 10 minutes so very little time lost. I had to sell some of my BWV post divorce and after commission and closing costs, $100/pt would be as if I hadn't ever sold. Other than the missed vacations .

If BWV goes below $90 a point, I will have to start trying to persuade my wife to go for it.

I think it will get there - eventually, LOL. But by then, you will still have a problem because there will be even fewer years left before expiration, and relatively, it still won't be "in line with the years remaining". :teeth:

I don't own at Boardwalk or Beach Club, but I would LOVE to buy one of them, if the price ever gets low enough to be in line with the years remaining. I'm not holding my breath.
