It really sucks when you have babys/toddlers sleeping in a stroller and now have to wake them and carry them through the line, or have to take young kids into some of those queues that are dark and scary.

Or you have a little who was insanely tall and desperately wanted to ride thrill rides he had no business riding at the ripe old age of 3. The melt down was epic and prevented us from using swap when we were there. I wasn’t going to have him being miserable so the grown ups could ride. If we’d been able to entertain him and distract him, it wouldn’t have been such a challenge.

Universal is not user friendly to those with young children.

Good point, never thought about that. The only thing I like about Universals rider swap is they don't care as much about who won't/can't ride. So it is more friendly with those with older kids/teens that don't like a ride and they can still use the swap but stay together and hang out and such.

Yikes! POFQ for my dates is almost as much as I'm paying at Gran Destino for a water view!

I hope they always keep Gran Destino as a moderate - keep your extra evening hours! :D

I was able to get PORS for $285 (including tax) for January.
My comparison was for a similar time frame as my last stay there. It’s about a $150 per night increase. There are cheaper rates for the lowest demand seasons, but they’re still much higher than they were in the before times for that same time frame.

I took a quick look and ouch on those rates! I remember choking at having to pay rack rate fall 2019 at 250 a night. Now it’s near $400 for a similar time frame. I love POFQ, but I don’t love it $400 a night.

Hopefully by the time we return they will have had to put out some decent discounts.
Our room is $303 (pre-tax) for garden view POFQ in Dec. It was less than the CBR room we had. Sadly, all of the rates are high and not likely to drop soon.

Mine was for water view as that’s we had previously. The rates I used were after tax as well, so we’re fairly close in pricing.

Not trying to compare...simply sharing w/ everyone (and anyone who is thinking about Jan/Feb trip and curious about prices) what was available. There are always cheaper/more expensive rates depending on demand & seasons.

My room at POP for this September at last year's rack rate (we were price protected) is cheaper than a room at POP with this year's discount. Think about that for a second.
That happened to me 3 years ago at Pop. I had booked a trip at rack rate, then when the discounts came out months later it was still more than what I had paid.

And I was clarifying where I got the rates I got for those who are shopping around. Not really comparing your rates to mine, just explaining the reason for the difference.
