Girls Trip Take 2 - Labor Day Weekend 2021 and Christmas 2021 Trip

I love a nice lazy meander down Main Street. Perfect way to start your trip with breakfast at Gaston’s coming a close second Those pastries look scrumptious

We were enjoying our slow MK morning and lots of sweets.

Danielle’s Disney Fall photos are beautiful. I think you all look amazing in your outfits and the group photo at Movies Resort is fab! Good job on getting there for rope drop

Exciting News!

Danielle did a Cast Member preview of Journey of Water last week.

More previews were opened up a midnight last night and guess what?

She got another one for when we'll be there next month. It's just like the Remy preview and includes up to 4 guests with admission to Epcot. I'm so excited to get to see it!

We'll be there Sunday, September 10th. Our preview is for 5-5:30.

I'm wondering if AP previews will be announced soon. This set of CM previews end on 9/22.

When we stayed here as a family for the first time in 2004 we took photos here so we just had to do it again.

Well.... yeah!

Danielle and I headed into the park to get some photos of her with the fall decorations.

Michelle went to Town Square Theater to get Dominic his "First Visit" Ears and have his name put on them.

Michelle and Leah went to Gaston's and I went to get some Cheshire Cat Tails at Cheshire Cafe.

I'll join Michelle and Leah. Those Sinny buns...

If you've been to Gaston's in the morning you know how long the line can be and how hard it is to get a table.

We stayed in the same general area and headed to Under the Sea.

Considering the lighting in there, you got some really good shots.

I know we went to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe

I haven't been in there in years!

I also bought us all some waters using my AP discount. This is a good tip to remember. If you can buy drinks in the shops, do it with your discount. There are no discounts given at outdoor vending.

Or... get free water at any quick serve?

I've done that before and I've brought a Brita water bottle. I really do like just drinking water but the water in Disney is not as good to my taste.

Magic Kingdom- Sunday, September 5, 2021-Main Street Entertainment

Before I get started I just have to point out how strange it is that Labor Day Weekend is coming up and once again a Hurricane is stirring up trouble for lots of people. We had trouble due to Ida hitting Louisiana in 2021 and now lots of people will have Idalia effecting there plans. Good thoughts to all who are trying to make it to Orlando. I don't think Danielle is too worried. She's used to hurricanes and she has had several since she has been there. I don't think it will effect my travel plans since I'm not headed there until the 8th.

When I left off we were headed to Starbucks for some much needed caffeine. I don't really like coffee. I only drink 1 cup a day for the caffeine. I'm just fine substituting coffee from some Green Tea, which is my Starbucks go to.

We parked Michelle at the tables outside the Plaza Ice Cream Plaza in the shade with a fan while we waiting in line.



This ended up being a really good time and place to catch lots of entertainment.

We got to see the Main Street Philharmonic.


Tinkerbell.


Pooh and Friends.


Mickey and Friends.


And I'm pretty sure we did some more shopping. We were working towards our lunch ADR at Skipper Canteen but still had some time to kill.

Michelle wanted some photos with her Castle.


We made our way to Adventureland.


This would be Michelle and Leah's first time at Skipper Canteen but for Danielle and I it was a repeat. This has become a family favorite for us. We really enjoy the food, atmosphere, corny jokes and having so much to see.



We were seated in the S.E.A. room, which was new for us.




We started with the Pao De Queilo from the secret menu that really isn't that secret - Cheese Bread from deep in the Amazon served with Chimichurri Cream Cheese. We enjoyed it so much our last trip I ordered 2 servings, which ended up being too much for us.

We also had some Orinocco Ida's Cachapas- house made corn pancakes, beer toasted corn, Fresno pepper salaso and avocado cream. This was really good too.


I didn't get photos of all the entrees. I had the Hardy Har Char Siu Pork- Marinated grilled port served with Chinese broccoli and jasmine rice. I really liked this pork.


Michelle had the Hanger Steak but with potatoes. You can't go wrong with steak.


I think Danielle and Leah shared the Noodle dish and I don't think it's on the menu anymore and I didn't get a picture of it. I think Danielle gets the noodles every time we go.

We ended up all pretty much sharing everything and did not come close to eating it all. Danielle is given coupons every year that she can use at certain times of the year. She shared her 50% off coupon for this meal and we all sure enjoyed the price cut. We had a great meal with a very nice total price.

I did try to take some pictures of things I missed on our previous trips to Skipper's. I loved this picture with the nod to the Jungle Cruise.

Lots of interesting books.



I neglected to share this earlier of Michelle taken while we were waiting to be seated.


We started making our way back down Main Street so we could get out of the heat and take a break.

I snapped some photos of the castle. It was being fancied up for the 50th celebration which would start the next month. I also took some more photos of Michelle to help her remember her pregnancy with Dominic.
