2021 Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise to the Western Caribbean! June 12, 2021!

I sent Chase a new message quoting the DVC wording since they just keep pointing me to the terms and conditions, so I'll let you know when they respond. They keep telling me NO but not WHY.
Ok. Looking forward to seeing what they say.

Have you received your statement yet with the charge?
Yes. Got the statement today. Called Chase and told them that the DVC charge wasn't listed under the Qualified Promotional Financing section. The rep put me on hold and spoke with her supervisor. She told me it does qualify and expect a letter in about a week. Now if the letter contradicts that then I'll be speaking to someone other than a rep at Chase. They're going to have to explain to me why it doesn't qualify when it has for years.

I hope this gets resolved as qualifying!

Thx - I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to see my statement as much as the one I’ll get at the end of this week LOL - to see how my charge shows up.

Chase did not fix it....DVC has to do so. DH called DVC. It may take 48 hours for a supervisor to get back to us. I certainly don’t consider this resolved. My first step in trying to resolve this was with DVC. They told me that it wasn’t their promotion.

A supervisor told us that the charge was incorrectly keyed in as an ineligible purchase by DVC.
Do you notice that this ties into the new time-saving booking process to call in to book one day/ pay later? We save time on call-in day but lose that saved time on follow-up with Chase to get the charges correctly keyed as a promo-eligible financing purchase.

That’s right!
Now, Chase says it was keyed in as a Timeshare Purchase! Aren’t those eligible???

Wonder if DVC will go in and correct all incorrect transactions in s they determine what went wrong, or if we will each need to call in.

According to the Chase website, purchases are eligible -

0% Promo APR for the first six months following the purchase date on select Disney vacation packages or purchase of a real estate interest, including a Member Add On, in a Disney Vacation Club® Resort, provided your account is not past due on the purchase date.

Tom talked to Stacy at DVC. She looked into the keying and says there was no difference in the way DVC keyed the cruise as compared to other years. She says Chase seems to be taking a hard line on this charter cruise, and thinks that’s the only place to get satisfaction.

Still no response after Chase was so quick to respond that the charge didn't qualify and point me to the terms and conditions. They're either tired of being asked the same question again or maybe thinking about it now.

I called DVC several days ago and was told they don't key or code charges any particular way, it's just a charge that goes through to Chase and it's Chase that decide if a charge is eligible.

I’ve joined the club - got my statement online & my MC Cruise Charge is not in the promo financing. Thanks for those who have posted their experiences to date - I’m starting with Chase.

Okay, so from what I can see, nobody had this appear in the promotional rate, and no-one has had it fixed. Please reply if you have! I’m going to call Chase today.

I sent a message to Chase but haven't heard back from them. Wishing you success @maburke!
Thanks. I spoke to a very nice rep at Chase today (unlike the earlier one, who was having a bad day :duck:). I was in a good mood and was not nasty, just persistent. He put me on hold for 25 minutes while he checked. He came back and said that it certainly seemed like it qualified, and he was escalating it "up to the marketing team" to "get it corrected." He said I would get a letter in 7-10 business days. I don't hold out hope that I'll get anything different from you, islandsnoopy, said you got above. Would you mind pm'ing me an image of the letter you got? I don't want to wait 7-10 business days, as that's perilously close to my due date.

I am hoping that we can all get satisfaction on this. We just need to find the person who can fix it. I just don't see how it doesn't qualify. All Disney Cruise Line purchases should qualify. DVC purchases qualify. We paid for our Disney Cruise through Disney, not a travel agency. It always qualified in the past, and nothing has changed.
