ANZACs in November/December 2013... register here!

Down to 84 days now. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

All our ADR's are done, sad to miss out on BOG Dinner but hopefully we will get to visit it for lunch. We did manage to book a private dining experience at the Grand Floridian on our anniversary which should be very special.

Sorry you missed out on BOG! I couldn't believe it - we had our specialist Disney Travel Agent call EXACTLY 6 months out for a reservation and the only one available for the whole 6 days we were at the resort was on the Tuesday of our stay! We had to shuffle all our plans around but i'm starting to realize that I am one of the lucky one's to have got a reservation! I don't know if this is helpful but I have heard people start lining up for lunch at BOG at about 10:30am....and lines can get long very quick ...I hope you get in there for lunch :) Good luck

Yeah I noticed that some time ago :-) I've read the start of your ptr (and will likely steal your plan of attack hehehe) will you be updating while you're there?

Yeh I hope so - well at lease if we get some downtime - i'm hoping (thanks to my husbands status with Virgin) to be able to use lounge internet access before we fly to the US to get some posts done! We'll see how that works out though...I'm glad my plan was helpful to someone - makes me happy :) :) let's see if it works hey :P - if it's helpful to you DreamsSweetLove (who's a Tokyo Disney Resort local) had a look over my plans and thought they are doable (if we get an early start - we are planning an hour before opening) and I believe he gave advice that the week after ours should be less busy. If you want to read the thread here's the link :)

Looks like we're heading out on the same day. Are you flying Q or Virgin? And from Syd or Melbourne?

ok, I know there are probably quite a few flights between Syd/Mel/Bne to LAX or DFW, but it would be a spooky coincidence!

Hi Kylieh,

We are flying out on a big red kangaroo from Melbourne to LAX. What about you guys?

Thanks for the sympathy Rachelle but I cannot complain too much as we managed to get all the rest at WDW:

Day 1 Fulton's Crab House - Dinner (I just love the setting)
Day 2 San Angel Inn - Lunch (DW loves this place) and Teppan Edo - Dinner (DD's love it)
Day 3 Tusker House - Breakfast (Love the character meal and food), Flame Tree (I love their ribs) and Monsieur Paul - Dinner (Love their snails)
Day 4 Liberty Inn - Lunch (never been so we wanted to try it) and Yachtsman Steakhouse - Dinner (I love a good steak)
Day 5 50's Prime Time - Lunch (DD's wanted to try this, I am sure they want to get told off for having their elbows on the table) and Brown Derby - Dinner
Day 6 Flying Fish - Dinner (We have been here twice and both times over an hour late but got seated with great food)
Day 7 Biergarten - Lunch (I love a good beer) and Le Cellier - Dinner (See Yachtsman Steakhouse)
Day 8 Crystal Palace - Breakfast (DD's loved it on our first trip) and Citricos (Looks good and great reviews)
Day 9 House of Blues (What's better than good food, a cold drink and great music) and Artist Point (Portobello Soup, enough said)
Day 10 Rainforest Café at AK (Just for the surroundings) - Lunch and Jiko - Dinner (DW favourite WDW restaurant)
Day 11 Private Dining experience on balcony at Grand Floridian for our anniversary
Day 12 Narcoosees - Dinner (DD's did this last trip with friends and loved it)
Day 13 1900 Park fare (Another character meal) and Hoop Dee Doo (We loved this on our last trip)
Day 14 Chefs De France - lunch (See Monsieur Paul) and California Grill - Dinner (The view and good food)
Day 15 Whispering canyon - breakfast (Our tradition on checking out)

Then we eat more in New York and after that we have Christmas and New Year then my birthday and Australia Day weekend. :beach:

So the diet looks like starting some time in February.

Just to add to what you said Rachelle I read somewhere on these boards you can also get a Fastpass+ booking to BOG for Lunch. How crazy is that???

Wow you did well! We don't have quite as many days so we didn't have to book as many things - I was happy to get a Fantasmic Dining Package at as reasonable time though and Be Our Guest - we missed out on Le Cellier though but no matter, we can try next time :)

Yes diets do go out the window when at Disney World - but I read a blog once which I thought very wise, it was called 'no calories at Walt Disney World' and basically surmised that while you might eat badly while your there, you'll do A LOT of exercise just getting around the parks and the resort so it balances out :)

Enjoy your trip

That would be useful! I haven't been invited to be a part of a Fastpass + test yet so i'll have to wait and see if we get the option to all that fun :)

Day 3 Tusker House - Breakfast (Love the character meal and food),

OMG, I lovvvvvvved Tusker House. Have a donut for me :rotfl: when i spotted them on the buffet I picked up two, one for me, and one in case a friend wanted one.......yeah....I ate them both :rotfl2:

I am very jealous of the rest of your list!

Then we eat more in New York

You've got a long list of travel experience, so you may have already been there, done that, but if you haven't Eataly is pretty damn good.

I'll definitely be looking out for any posts of yours! popcorn::

And yep, I've been following Teslascar's blog updates for a while now, and anything DreamSweetsLove posts. DSL also has a twitter account that...when I look at now...is very active! If you want to get even more excited, check out some of her pictures. And yes, she is very helpful with tips, so good to get her tick of approval on the tour plan! :woohoo:

I can't believe my countdown is already in the 50's...you must be almost in the 40's!!

Well I'd better post something worth reading then :P Pressure on :P hehehe - good to know that someone is interested sometimes :)

I will have to have a look at those pics - I loving looking at pictures of the Tokyo Resort - particular Disney Sea - I can't wait to actually see it in person too!

Yep 49 days and counting today ...that's barely over a month and a half! Plus next month I get to be Maid of Honour for my best friend and my brother in law gets married and i'm helping my sister and brother in law move into their new house, so I'm sure October will fly by! :) Hope your October flys by too :)

Wow that is going to be a busy month! And it's always a good thing to have lots on right before you go - no sitting around waiting for the days to tick down :-)

I read fastpass+ is available 60 days out so i have a few weeks to wait.

What about bands has anyone been invited to part of the test?

At the moment the test is only available to those with a check in date through the end of October, nothing beyond that yet. Although they did add all the other resorts to the test in the last couple of days so hopefully it will be all up and running soon.

What are your dates DizOz? I might have a spare BOG (obtained by many weeks of stalking - I can't believe how quick they go!). Who else has dates that match mine?

Hi Franrose

We're there from 4 Dec to 18 Dec. Would greatly appreciate it if you have an ADR to spare.

I'm loving that the Aussie dollar is on the rise. 95c yay!
Hoping it keeps climbing & (perhaps we may also get an interest rate cut too) :)

Sorry for the delay, so much stuff going on IRL. Your dates match what I have then, the one I think I won't need is for Sunday Dec 8, at 4.10pm, 2a2c. Let me know if it would work in your plans. (I'm not planning to get rid of it in a hurry or anything so don't worry if you don't see this for a while. :) )

Franrose that would work out great. :yay::yay::yay: If you are sure you don't need it we would be extremely happy to use it. Not sure how this works I assume I can just link the ADR # to our plans in MDE? If and when you are ready may be the best way is to PM me the reservation number?
