So from this trip report I have gathered certain information re. Dave and his family:

The 13 year old does, indeed, possess the ability to smile.

Dave has an unhealthy obsession for a dark haired girl wearing a yellow skirt often accompanied by 7 strange little men. Sounds a bit pornographic, but who am I to judge.

Dave's fascination with food involves photographing the food but not actually eating any of it.

Dave's 4 year old has unusually large eyes when making pouty girl face.

Dave's wife is incredibly understanding re. his relationship with the aforementioned porno star and her entourage.

Dave does have 2 other daughters who apparently also tolerate Dave's strange fetishes.

Dave is a camper by proxy now.

Dave does have a razor, however it is set at 1/4" to keep that oh so fashionable stubble looking good all day long.
