Epcot on Oct 9th?

I posted this once before but never got an answer. Epcot closes at 3 that day for a MS press event. Would this be a good day to go because the crowds would be less due to the early closing. Or would the special event bring in large crowds? I have never been to WDW when they had a press event and don't know what to expect. Please help.

That is EMH day for Future World, so I have been planning to be there and hurry to Test Track, stay there thru lunchtime, and then catch a swim and shower before our 5:15 PS at Chef Mickey's.
