We booked our first stay at AKL for next fall. November 10-15th. It's been a dream of mine to stay there since my first trip in 2005.

If things open back up, we will be at Jambo house for part of a split stay, we will be there Sept 13-16. We are doing a redo of our honeymoon trip 25 years later! Back then we just did Beach Club but are expanding to two weeks and three resorts!

We currently have a savannah view king bed room booked. Considering upgrading to club level....not really that interested in the food offerings, more the experience of it, perhaps 90 day fast passes depending on how things go.

BUT I have a couple questions for those of you in the know. We love the room we had at the Beach Club because it was a short flight of stairs to the lobby....loved just being able to walk and not take the elevator. I understand Jambo house has the lobby in the middle floor? Is that correct? Are there areas of rooms where you can walk to the lobby? We might pick that over club level even. Would club level limit us in that way?

The lobby is on the 3rd floor. Regular (non DVC) club rooms are on the 4th floor. The club lounge is on the 6th floor. The restaurants and food court are on the lower floor.

All the "trail" hallways are off the Lobby on the 3rd floor. Some of the rooms are quite a walk if you get one at the far end. There are elevators and stairs for the other floors and to Boma, Jiko, Mara and pool area on the lower level.

sadly we won't make the May 24-29. September is still a go.

no December trip either. March 2021 is on now. 21-26

Thank you! We love being able to just stroll down the stairs and not worry about elevators! Just upgraded our reservation to Club Level!

The only issue you may have is the elevator to the Club Lounge. You have to take the Lobby elevator to the 6th floor. People had problems getting their bands to work for that level when we were there last year. Hopefully, that issue is fixed.
