Doogie,

So you'd recommend Offshore Sunsations, eh? There must be some sort of porn filter on my 'puter. The pic of Terri from Dallas was fuzzed out. . . :confused3 From what I could make out, my vote is fake.

I realize it was 3 years ago, but do you recall (roughly) what the damage was for the excursion you went on?

Thanks,
Trey :surfweb:

Doogs,

I am looking at that site, and I have to say they are.......REAL.

REAL BIG!

We are looking for something to do on St Maarten for the Dec cruise. How about a trip report of this excursion?

Willie and Trey,

It was THE BEST excursion we've EVER been on. You can even call and ask Jackie. It was all day... you pay for the boat... so if you can split it with 3-4 more people all the better. I think it runs around $1000. We've never seen anything like Anguilla... not populated... took us to this little tiny beach about 40 yards wide surrounded by cliffs. I jumped off a cliff, we snorkeled. We also went to some other beach... deserted and absolutely beautiful, no seaweed, no garbage and all to ourselves. Another stop was a place called sandy island. Look it up on Google by searching on "sandy island anguilla" and click on images.... absolutely awesome. If you call them, the owners name is Jack... tell him you found him from Doogie (Doug) off the Disney Boards. I've spoke with him several times since via email. They still send us X-mas wishes! Go back to testimonials on the web site, I wrote a trip report there also.

Doog

Hey gang... regarding the message I posted about www.offshoresunsations.com above. I got a hello email from Jack, the owner (great guy treated us VERY well) and he just recently had quaduple bypass surgery. He's still running the business while recouperating. It sounds like his recovery is going good; shoot him and email and wish him well. His email is zippity@neo.rr.com.

This is truly for my daughter as I can be assured that the reply that will come my way will be spun full of TCDisms.....

My daughter believes that she saw a TCD daughter on the Kids' Choice Award show this evening on Nick, she swears it is her and asked if I would find out!

Is anyone here going to call DCL tomorrow and book the Med cruise? :earsgirl:

Priscilla

No Shot! We are going to book a 4 Day for August '07. We have some friends who haven't been on a cruise at all. They have two daughters who would love DCL so we are going to push hard to get them to book. It will probably be a few days in WDW and then DCL. Besides, we haven't been on the Wonder since our honeymoon cruise in 2002 so we want to go back. We will be on the Magic again in '08

Here a few photos from our wedding day. Does the carriage look familiar? :goodvibes

Priscilla,

The "wiseinheimer" answer to your question is: "Only those with more money than common sense."

Actually, that's just my jealous self talking. . . Maybe I need a "Sugarmomma"! :rotfl2:

Great pictures Buddy Bear. So you won't be joining us on the Turkey Day reunion cruise in 07?

Trey, I agree about the Med prices. Oh, to have that kind of money and time to do a cruise such as that!

I would doubt it. I priced out a Cat 6 for '07 and it was $7,000 for a family of four. :sad2: The week before or after T-Day is $4,400. I just can't see spending $2,600 more for the same room just because it's a holiday.

Ok, just for this week ONLY, and just for TCD---

Andrew, are you guys gonna have dinner at Hoop de Doo? Man, I love those ribs!
I have nevr stayed at Wilderness campground, but we stayed at Wilderness Lodge a couple of times, and rode bikes all around the campgrounds. Pretty cool looking place to camp.

TCD is back in the house!

Great job keeping the thread alive everyone!

W- We did not make it to the Hoop De Doo this trip, but we did get some of those ribs at the Trail's End restaurant which is right next door.

All of you with campers really need to consider a trip to Ft. Wilderness, we had a great week! We are booked for Thanksgiving week this year. Wouldn't it be great to take over the campground this year, and get ready for another Magic invasion in '07?

Sorry, Sherri, it wasn't a TCD daughter that your DD saw. Where in the show was it that your DD saw the "TCD daughter"? My twins watched the Kid's Choice Awards on Saturday night. If I remember correctly, Nickelodeon will replay that show about 1000 times in the next few weeks, so we should be able to take a look at it again.

Thanks, Willie!

Man, that was a sweet game to watch. The Gators and the Longhorns stuck it to the So. Cal's this year! I would say the Gator's domination of UCLA was much like your team's domination of USC in the football national championship.

Maria and Charlie where are you today?

All I have to say is:

IT'S GREAT TO BE
A FLORIDA GATOR!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Just for fun (?), actually, more for laughs :lmao: , I priced the 10-day Med next July for three, and really wasn't very shocked. (Hey, we all know DCL is higher, and the 10-day Cat 9 doesn't appear to be much more than the 10-day Holiday cruise, once one factors in the onboard discount.)

What killed me was the airfare! :scared1: :scared:

3200.00 on AA, and roughly 2800.00 on DL. Then, the fun of changing planes TWICE. We went to Maui in 2002, and didn't pay much more than 3200.00 for airfare, hotel AND a rental car, for three, on a nonstop. (I just now realize this was still less than a year after 9/11.)

I've looked at the Med prices and itineraries for the last time. For the $11,000-$12,000 it would cost, I'll happily book three more caribbean cruises (DCL, of course.) Europe will have to wait a few years.

Let's all keep looking forward to Thanksgiving 2007! :yay:

Priscilla- I am with you 100% on your analysis of this. The way I look at it, when we cruise, the main attraction is the ship. The ports and excursions are secondary. While I would love to see Europe on the Magic, I just cannot justify the cost of this when, as you have noted, you could probably take two Caribbean cruises for the same cost.

I think Mrs. TCD will be ready for another cruise by Turkey Day in 2007, so that is what we will be shooting for.

Actually, I think we have a quandry in agreement... T-day 2007 Whoo Hooo!!
