~~~ May 16, 2009 ~~~ Western Magic ~~~ Part 2 ~~~ Key Lime Pie-rates ~~~
Wow 14 days until we leave PA. I can't believe it. I'm so glad i found all of you. Thought i was lost.pirate:party::tinker:::MinnieMo:mickeyjum:goofy::simba::donald::dumbo::tigger:Now it's time to get the party started 16 days until our Magical Disney cruise.
Welcome all newbies:welcome:
New thread!
We are a large group of people, we should be listen. Maybe if we all call Disney they find us a new port in the western caribbean instead of Nassau, or at least a double dip!
I would imagine the options aren't real great. I wonder how far in advance ports are reserved when changes occur.
I have people at work commenting they are surprised we are still going!:scared: One fellow employee cancelled his May 30th cruise. :confused3 We are not going to live in fear! We will have a good time!:dance3::yay:
Any one for sharing how to post pictures? I still need to do that.
Hi Barb...
Amanda did this with pillow cases on their last cruise for my grandsons, they looked great but unfortunately the markers were not fabric/permanent style and it washed out... Just buy the right kind of markers and you are in business!
Here
I think that we have decided to go to EPCOT one day when we get back instead of the day before we leave for Port Canaveral. We will actually be able to stay in EPCOT later in the night than if we go before we leave.
Wow, we are on page two who'd of though!!! :cheer2:
I was talking to JorDan last night about the magents too and we have a few that metione Western Caribbean and Cozumel. I'm definately not going to print them out so I'll just have to creatively modify! Oh and of course the FE gift (oh well, you all with understand!) :thumbsup2
I don't know if I can take 16 more days until we board, I'm getting too excited.
I'm here!
Just found out today that one of my best friends (with husband and 3 year old in tow) is coming to visit on Saturday, which means I have to move all of my cruise stuff out of the guest bedroom... While I'm not excited about that part of the visit, I figure it's an opportunity to "organize" everything!
Welcome to our new cruisers!!! :welcome:If you haven't figured it out yet, this cruise group is the BEST!!!:cheer2::grouphug:
There's no way I have enough time to make more....rrrrr!!
Oh well.. You guys will understand:cutie:
Hi everyone!
My daughter is in NYC and I still have not heard from her!! Darn teenagers! lol.
I am dying to know where we will be going... Nassau?? This is my first cruise and I am so excited no matter where we go, I just would love to know!!!
Have a great night.
Kristin
Since this is our first Disney cruise does anyone have any suggestions on what excursions to do. Or any other things we should do or bring. thanks
Hi everyone! I posted this morning before I left work but for some odd reason, it never made it....so....
Welcome to our new cruisers! Without the old posts to go back to, forgive me for not getting it all sorted out.
I have had a really stressful day freaking out about this dang flu. My fear is one of us will get sick in the next 2 weeks. If I could, I would keep both kids home with me until we leave BUT, I have to go to California for a conference on Monday and, of course, the kids need to be at school. Like Sonya -- I just need to let it go and enjoy the last 2 weeks of planning!
Once we have a substitute stop for Cozumel (assuming we have one), we'll book a beach day somewhere for sure. In Nassau, I am thinking the Sheraton or Westin. They looked nice and if any of my DIS peeps join in, it will be a BLAST I am sure!!!
I haven't started magnets yet. I guess I better get on that huh? Maybe this weekend. I did find 2 pairs of sandals today. I am not sure about 1 pair but the other ones are definite keepers! Unfortunately they weren't $7 when they rang up but hey, you can't get lucky every day!
I just finished watching AI. I knew who got kicked off (I peeked) and was ok with the result. I thought Danny was really really good. It is a shame we will miss the finale. Do you think they will show it on the ship?
I am still catching up with tv so back to watch the Biggest Loser. I hope you guys are having a great night.
Sonya -- I hope you and Tony have a FABULOUS, SAFE and UNEVENTFUL flight tomorrow. We will be happy to have you here in the US with us and can't wait to see you! (oh, and get cracking on those books missy -- we want to talk about them on the ship!!!!)
Good night all,
Mati
AI was a shocker to me on the results night...not sure why the bottom two shook out like it did.....but hopefully that will be corrected next week when people vote for him after almost losing him. <Save to say him at this point since there is only one her>
I hope we can see the finale on the ship - that would be great.
I have been meaning to ask if anyone has ordered gifts from the DCL website to be in the cabin? I just ordered my daughter some flowers and the birthday stateroom decorations as I know she will be so excited to see them - her birthday is our Key West day - the 17th. I know that some people have gone with another company - what kinds of things will be waiting for you when you arrive in your cabin?
Hi there - welcome! I think there is a cruise packing list floating around, I know it was on the other thread...I am not sure how to attach anything...maybe someone can help with that.
The excursions I am not sure about - there is so much to see and do at the ports it really depends on what you want to do. We are beach bound at each stop except Key West. I found the Disney website to be really helpful in describing the ports and the activities. Then I would come on the main cruise board and do a search to see what the feedback was for the excursions I was interested in. Not sure if this helps or not?
Val- Thanks for posting. I have spent an hour trying to figure it out, with no luck. I don't have a photobucket account. I was "dragging". That wasn't working. Than my DD, Sarah called. I asked her if she could help. She than told me why she was calling. They had a water pipe break sometime today. They have a "mother-in-law" apartment in their lower level. Well there was water in the gameroom. Dry wall, carpet, furniture all wet. She is thankful it happened now, as opposed when on the cruise. Her problem is much bigger than mine! She is going to turn the water off when they are gone. I guess that is a pretty good idea.
Hubby is gone on a three day golf trip. I am working on my signs and doing some alterations getting ready. Time is ticking.
I made it over without getting lost. I wanted to share/gloat that I found airfare for less than $100 round trip per person from Memphis to Orlando. :banana:
Also a question i have been MIA for a while; Amanda what was ever decided about the wrist bands? Am i too late to obtain some for the fam?
Sue -- sorry to hear about your daughter's water break! You are right -- better now than on the cruise, but still....total bummer!
Indigo, I ordered baskets from Shirley for Yoni and for each kid. For the kids I got sand buckets and toys for the beach, water bottles, sunglasses and then some snacks. I think I also got them each a stuffed animal. For Yoni I got a Disney tote (Shirley assured me I could use it :thumbsup2) with Key West beer, a water bottle and some other tropical items - oh, and candy (Yoni LOVES things like gummy worms -- he is worse than the kids!). All I know is once we were done, it was a lot more $$ than I expected but, I have a secret stash put aside so will pull it from there. Yoni doesn't know about it. His birthday is on the 21st so also bringing him a b'day gift and probably booking some kind of massage for him.
Ok, this time I mean it....:) Good Night everyone!
