Halloween was amazing.... Such a good laugh! Robert has been desperate to be Iron Man for years now so I think he was in his element this year!

Love the menu - the venison looks gorgeous, but I agree about the flavours. And the grilled cheese.... mmmmmm, was the pistachio oil as good as it sounds?!!

I love the menu - I eat everything on it! Hoorah!!

I think the postal strikes must be worse than I thought though, still no invite...

p.s. Congrats on your new home, it looks lovely! We had a Halloween party too for DD's birthday but I didn't dress up - I left that to her! I did make a pumpkin cake though...

Thats exactly what we were going for Claire! We really didn't like the idea of serving 'sunday dinner' and wanted something a bit different, without going for over the top Heston Blumenthal inspired stuff...! I think we've achieved a nice balance...

The venison was tasty, but we personally found it a little salty with the green peppercorns (Which I feel have been added for colour rather than flavour) and the red cabbage.... It was nice, but for me it just lacked wow factor.... OMG yes! The pistachio oil is absolutely amazing! It doesn't overpower things, just helps them along and makes the other flavours come alive!

I'm glad to hear good things about the menu. Like I say, the food is really important to us so I really hope everyone enjoys it...!

Aw, thanks! I'll hopefully update with some pics once we're all done... (I added one or two to facebook yesterday of the house... Now we're moving in it does look like a bomb has hit it!)....!

We love Halloween. Robert loves dressing up costumes so its great for him! We've only been having the party the last couple of years but its great fun!

Glad you like it! She was a witch this year, last year she was a pumpkin but she's too big for the costme now.

Great new photos of the dress, I love the crystal details on it!!

Congrats again on the house, reminds me of when we got our first place! Now we've got more stuff than we know what to do with! Make sure when the furniture arrives that you leave room for your Christmas tree!
