I keep thinking of my neighbors friend who went in for a routine mammogram last year and found out she had a very rare and aggressive form of breast cancer that would have taken her life in a matter of months. She had no symptoms and no family history.
Our BIG radiology center where most area mammograms are done have cancelled all routine mammograms. Of course, if you think you have an issue you can get one. But I guess due to the closeness of the procedure between patient and tech, they think it's too risky.
