I'm BACK!! Ok, well, just for a few. I'm stuck at my office until DH comes to get me. I figured I'd post a little. Here are the few photos from the cocktail hour.....

Our reception room....I really love the final product.

This one is probably my favorite photo of the chargers. It's the one that shows the lines the best.....like a record.

Just a few questions:
1. How did you plan the rehearsal dinner, and do you event everyone?

2. Do you have any pics on your Mickey ear place cards ect...great idea...

Thank you! I went through DFTW to get the tickets for the Luau, they just added the cost to our BEO and we paid for it at the same time as everything else. We ended up inviting almost everyone who came to the wedding, which was not our original intention. If you are having a large amount of guests for the wedding, I would suggest only inviting the wedding party (I think of that in terms of anyone who walks down the aisle for the wedding) and their plus 1, or anyone who comes to the wedding rehearsal. In addition to the wedding party, you can also invite close family (if they're not in the wedding) or close friends, but you are not required to invite everyone who will be attending the wedding. We had 16 out of the 22 people who came to our wedding also come to the rehearsal dinner.

As for the Mickey ears, they were one of two favors we had, they were set on a table with the escort cards laid out separately. The table was just outside the pre-reception room. Here are a couple of photos.....

Thank you! I was concerned that the dance floor wouldn't be worth the amount of money it cost, but it was truly beautiful and I'm SO happy we went that direction....it made the room special.

So sorry for the late response on those questions! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Mine was, well, it was.....now that the holidays have passed and work is once again slow, I can do more updates! I'm really hoping to finish....but only so I can start planning a vow renewal. Ok, well the VR won't be for another 9 years. We are talking about Disney though, so it's never too soon to start planning. LOL

We left off with our first dance, so next up would be speeches! I won't post many of these, because they're kind of boring. LOL But interspersed are some great photos of stuff around the room....

Here we are welcoming and thanking everyone for coming...I am not a great public speaker....even amongst friends and family, so I like to let DH do the talking.

We broke the speeches up between the courses....some decided to dance. LOL

And here come the photos around the room....these are from the cake table. I love the simplicity of the photos, and our cake cutting set.

So this next photo is of a replica of Wrigley Field which was part of my gift to DH....this was my way of telling him I bought him a trip to Chicago to see Wrigley in person! He was so excited. And worth every penny because they have now begun renovating the legendary stadium. I can't tell you how happy I am I booked that trip when I did.

This is a close up of our escort cards....the scan codes actually work. It was awesome!

Then we had the intermezzo course.....the sorbet in the ice slipper. This was a huge hit. Those guests who had not ever seen the Main Street Electrical Parade didn't know what was going on....LOL. But I can tell you, I have more guest photos of these slippers than almost anything else.

Love our dance floor, and like I said, it was worth every single penny spent on it.....

Another huge hit was the caricature artist. We had him continue through the reception. I was a little upset when I later found out that not everyone got a drawing, especially when I saw some people sitting in his chair a couple of times through the reception. There are more photos of guests getting their drawings done, so those will pop up periodically.

Here are more of the items around the room....here's how the guest book turned out....I love it!

Cake and cake table....

This is one of the flower arrangements that was on the alter during the ceremony. We had them move them to the reception where they were placed on the DJ booth. I'd never thought about doing that....I initially thought they'd be on the cake table, but I wouldn't change anything. They belonged on the DJ booth....they were perfect there. They are just smaller versions of the table centerpieces....absolutely beautiful.

I kept the toss bouquet very simple. Just a few roses, because I certainly wasn't about to give away mine. LOL

Time for more dancing! This time I got to dance with my big brother. He's such a softie....I chose Rainbow Connection sung by Kermit the Frog for sentimental reasons, it was a perfect song and I'll never forget his face when he heard it. We sang the whole song while we were dancing. LOL

Mother/Son dance...honestly, I have no idea what song this was, or the artist (is that bad?), but it was a country song/artist and I don't really follow that genre. Maybe it's in one of my other posts.....hmm. I love how I'm picking up my dress in the background....palm to forehead.....

Now everyone joined in and the reception really started.....starting out with a couple of my single gfs making due. LOL

Then they made the announcement that we had some special guests that wanted to say congratulations!!! I love when you look at the progression of photos, you can see people jumping up and down. LOL

I think people started to think they wouldn't get a chance to take pictures with M&M, so they would run up and pose....

I think my cousin wanted to be sure to get a photo with us and M&M...

While we were waiting for the next thing, Minnie and I started dancing to the song playing...we were having too much fun!

So, Minnie started dancing with me, then Mickey cut in....I am no dancer, that's for sure, so we laughed when I took the wrong step. LOL

So, then Minnie had DH cut in to dance with me and it was Mouse's choice! Mickey had a hard time choosing between all the lovely ladies!

These next shots were a little difficult to get....DH's uncle kept trying to photo bomb, but Randy wouldn't let him....it was when everyone (except me) noticed uncle was holding two glasses of red wine while he was photo bombing and they were very close to spilling all over my dress that Randy asked the handler to remove him from the immediate area where we were taking photos. LOL I had no idea what was going on....just that his uncle was up to shenanigans. Randy saved my dress....and the photos. THANK YOU RANDY!!!

BTW, don't get your hair done in a big poufy bump and then put ears on....my hair was trashed....but I was having too much fun to notice...apparently, so was everyone else because no one said anything until I got the photos back. LOL

Finally getting our caricature done.

Then it came on....of course it would when I was waiting for it and now had to sit still for a drawing!! *NSYNC! I had to get up! So I asked and the artist said it was ok....so off I went to the dance floor. I'm not sure I've mentioned that my planner was Jamie and her assistant was Jessica. We bonded over *NSYNC at our planning session and I told them if I played an *NSYNC song, they had to come dance with me. Well, I think it was Jessica's day off, or she was busy with other work that day, so she hadn't been at the wedding or any of the reception. I had gotten up from the caricature artist and was looking for Jamie and that's when I saw her standing in the door, Jessica was there! I was so happy! Now, I don't know whether she was there to see Jamie, or if she came to dance to *NSYNC, and I don't know if they did this with any other brides, but that they were both there and came onto the dance floor with me....it really meant a lot to me. And I'm so happy that we got a few photos together.

We're nerds, I know. And I don't care. We had so much fun....and others rejoined the dance floor when the songs were over. LOL

We even got my BM's husband to do the splits.....twice! The first time wasn't caught on film, so, as the bride, I had to request the second time.

I was having a ball....

I'm a singer....I'll sing to anything, and I know almost all songs.....

But, it was time to go back to the artist.....

So the caricature artist was *the* best....he actually drew most of our caricature without me in the seat, and it came out fantastic. I had it framed after we got home.

Then everyone got up and started dancing...

So here's something funny. SIL1 wanted a "family" photo in the hall. From what I was told, she wanted everyone in the photo except me and was upset that they wouldn't leave me out. This was the photo with the least disgusted look on her face and the one that went in the photo album. LOL

Then I got to dance with my favorite cousin....I love him!! He was having fun twirling me around....

So, after the last song was over, guests would come up to me and say, "Is it really over?! We're having so much fun!"......

What our guests didn't know was that we were taking them to see Illuminations. They all got on the bus, a couple of them asked where we were taking them....all we could say was "you'll see soon". We had glow necklaces and bracelets for everyone which were set on a table on the way to the bus.

My friend had figured out that we were in Epcot...well, she read a sign as we passed through the backstage gates. She got very excited and said, "Best. Wedding. Ever." LOL Here we are walking into the dessert party....

I was a little surprised that people were eating again, but very happy! The nacho bar was a huge hit....apparently our guests cleaned it out. LOL
