After the fireworks we dropped everyone back at their hotels....it was over. The greatest day of my life so far. It was an amazing experience and SO many people helped to make it happen. I cannot tell you how incredible it all was....beyond my expectations, my wildest dreams, beyond perfection. Every moment.

YES!!! more pics!

I havent commented yet but have follwed along the whole way and everything was awesome!

The answer is always YES MORE PICS! Bring em on.

Your SIL's face cracked me up. I must admit after that family group I sought her out in all subsequent pictures just to see her face :lmao:

Your dessert party pictures came out fantastic and it really looks like everyone had a serious blast. Love everything about your day!

I have been following along and wondering how it would all come together. Well the answer is...PERFECTLY!
It was a beautiful, wonderful, magical wedding! I loved everything about it and you were a gorgeous glowing bride! I loved all your details, I loved the setting of the wedding and the reception and the surprise of Mickey & Minnie! And then the grand finale of fireworks! Congratulations and best wishes! ❤️
And yes, please share your honeymoon photos!

I finally caught up on your wedding report and my goodness was it fantastic! You looked gorgeous! I love how all the details came together from the attire to the guest book and table decor... the reception came out perfectly! It's so great to see all the colours there and how they work and create such a fun atmosphere. And that dance floor is possibly the most fabulous thing ever. I love all your photos and yeah everything just came out amazingly. You must be so happy! :goodvibes Congrats again!

Oh, man! I haven't been on in months....Thank you everyone! :lovestruc I will try to get the honeymoon photos up soon. I have another TR to do that also is tied to the wedding...so I'll post about that as well. And I'll post a few photos of our wedding albums and the canvases I had made for our new house! So much to share! But first I need to upload the photos. LOL

Hey everyone! Don't know if you're still reading, but I'm sorry for not updating as much as I should.....let's see just how much I can remember for the rest of the trip......I managed to find some photos. I will say (possibly for a second time) that I don't have nearly as many as I would normally have taken because our camera was stupid and a lot of them ended up blurry, but I'll post what I have!!

Ok, so I left off with the end of the wedding day. So, on we go to the honeymoon TR!!

Monday, December 2, 2013

We made no plans for this day because we figured we'd be exhausted and really want to get our rest, and we did, but I ended up making plans with my friend because she didn't have anyone to hang out with until her flight left much, much later that night. So, we planned to meet up for lunch and spend some time at DTD. I have very few photos from this day, most of what I have were taken by DH on his phone. These are in no particular order because I have no idea the order they were taken in. LOL

After hanging out at DTD for a while, my friend wanted to go to a park, MK to be exact. So off we went to find her a (hopefully) discounted ticket. She didn’t want to pay full price because we would really only be there for a few hours. I had heard that we could get discounted tickets after a certain time because, technically, we were considered a convention, but we had no luck and were turned away from the GF concierge empty handed. DH and I decided to try going to CS at the park entrance since we needed to activate our APs anyway. We discussed just paying the difference in the ticket price and decided that’s what we would do if we couldn’t get the discount. What luck we had! Or the CM behind the counter took pity on us. We walked up to the window and explained our situation, we’d just gotten married and we were told that we could get a “convention discount” on park tickets after a certain time. The CM said he’d never heard of it before. DH told the CM it was ok, and that we’d like to activate our Aps as I told my friend we’d just pay the difference and asked how much it would be. The CM activated our passes and gave us a total for my friend’s park ticket. When he gave us the total, I said, “Is that how much we owe?” He said, “No, that’s total for the park ticket.” When I looked confused he told us he gave us another discount (CM discount or something)! He said not to tell anyone because he could get in trouble….I promised I wouldn’t say anything (shhhhh!). We were so happy. My friend is a teacher, so she was trying to be really careful with her money, so this was a huge deal.

We entered the park and I knew that my friend had been there before, when she was little, but this was DH’s first time entering any of the parks. He was completely blown away. As the trip goes along, I can tell that he knows why I have such a love for WDW and also why I was SO underwhelmed by the Sleeping Beauty’s castle. I love DL because it’s the original and Walt walked the park and all that good stuff, I have mad respect for DL and what it means, but I’m sorry, nothing compares to the absolute beauty of Cinderella’s castle….especially when it’s lit up at night…and it flat out takes my breathe away during the holidays. I don’t know where the rest of the photos are from the evening, but we were able to ride a few rides and we got to see Wishes. Everyone left satisfied. We said goodbye to my friend and went back to our room for some rest. We had another pretty big day ahead of us as we were changing hotels, dropping off gifts to our planner and her assistant, and running around to go see DH’s family because it was their last day.

OH! I found the pictures from Monday afternoon/night!!

My friend, Jenn, trying on a Chewy hat….what you should know is that Jenn is about 7 inches taller than I am, so I was holding my phone up for her to see herself. That’s why she’s cut off, but they’re super fun pictures, so I had to share.

I can’t remember if we took these photos on the way to DTD, or on our way back to the hotel, but DH bought me this shirt, that I love!, and since we had the whole bus to ourselves….why not?! HA! I didn’t know my face was going to be in the shot, so don’t mind the expression.

Ok, that’s it for Monday…..for real. LOL

Tuesday, December 3

I totally forgot to mention, for anyone who remembers the list of plans we had, that we did have dinner plans Monday evening for V&A, but decided to cancel so my friend wouldn’t have to wander around the world alone.

Now, moving on!!! It’s moving day! But first, breakfast! I’d made an ADR for 1900 Park Fare and we were so excited…..at this point I was probably more excited than DH because he had no idea that, just beyond the doors, he was about to see Winnie the Pooh. Pooh is one of his favorite characters.

Can I just say, I love Tigger? Well, this one in particular…..he was so funny. I got my photo with him….

2013-12-03100128-2_zps418adc56.jpg

As I was moving to sit back down, he noticed my Just Married button and gestured to see my ring, so naturally, I put my hand out to show him and he leaned over, looked at it, looked at me, and then fell out. It was so funny! Silly Tigger!!

When we were done with breakfast, we went back to the room to get everything ready to be shipped home/transferred to our new resort. We would be moving from GF to CSR. I was excited to see a new resort, but let me tell you, I do not like transferring hotels and probably won’t be doing it again. The thought of packing all that stuff…all the wedding stuff….man, we had a lot too. We managed to get everything we intended to ship back packed into boxes and most of our clothes and other stuff back into our suitcases the night before. When we woke up we still had a few things to throw into the boxes. I told DH to put all the dirty clothes into one of the boxes to save room in our suitcases. This was a great idea (if I do say so myself!), but didn’t end up helping much. LOL Once we were sure we had everything, we called bell services to move the boxes to the convention center. We finished packing everything and left it in the room so we could run down and ship the boxes. We wanted to make sure this was done before we left the resort and checked out. Then we went back to the room and called for the suitcases and other stuff to be transferred to the new resort. We really had too much stuff to transfer….our two, yep, two, tiers of wedding cake, my bouquet, the suitcases, the wedding gown…..it was ridiculous. While we waited for bell services to arrive we tidied the room as much as we could, left a note, a tip, and some flowers (sent to us from DFTW’s floral department) for Mousekeeping, gathered the planner’s gifts, made sure we didn’t leave anything behind, and off we went.

My bouquet with the flowers that we left for Mousekeeping (I took the card).

2013-12-03085750_zps26c81bf0.jpg

We went down to check out, I’m not really sure why, although I did order room service for the girls the morning of the wedding, so maybe that….but I digress. When the CM asked if everything was ok with our stay I said, “Um, yeah! Thanks for ruining us for any other resort!” She laughed and said, “Well, good, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay!” From here we went and dropped off the gifts for our planners. Ok, I never expected the reaction we got. It was so awesome. First, let me say that neither Jamie nor Jessica were at Franc’s that morning, so we had to leave the gifts with the receptionist. We told her who the gifts were for and as I was about to leave, DH said, “Oh, you can tell them the gifts are from Shane and Sharli.” Of course! I didn’t even think to tell her our names! I’m so rude sometimes. LOL As I looked at her, I saw her face light up as if she just remembered something, I guess our names registered with her because she said, “Wait. Shane and Sharli? You got married on Sunday?” DH and I looked at each other and said, “Yes. That’s us.” She said, “OMG, BEST. WEDDING. EVER!!” I laughed and said, “You’ve heard about our wedding?!” She said, “Oh, yeah! I saw the video!!! BEST. WEDDING. EVER!!” I wish I’d gotten a photo of us all together, but we rushed off because we had another ADR for CRT! Hard to believe I was hungry again already. But happy that we took care of all the shipping and transferring stuff, now it was time to start really having fun, fun, fun!!!

Your flowers were gorgeous. Sad that you couldn't have kept the petals as a keepsake somehow.

I kept my bouquet....I managed to dry the rose petals while we were on our honeymoon. It's just that we had way too much stuff to transfer already, so I left the flowers in the vase for the Mousekeeping staff. :)

Your description of Shane's first time seeing MK just melts my heart. It's so magical to see that moment, especially for someone you love! Your pictures make me miss WDW at winter and I wish I could go so badly!

Ok, I didn't realize Pooh & friends were at 1900 too! Guess that's what happens when you don't frequent character meals.

Your bouquet still takes my breath away. Absolutely stunning!

It's amazing to see him fall as much in love with WDW as I am! I like the character meals for two reasons, 1. because it makes me slow down a little when I'm eating. I'm not normally a fast eater, but I guess I tend to rush through my meals when I'm at Disney.....too excited, I guess, and 2. because I know DH likes having photos with the characters and, this way, we won't have to stand in line in the parks. You will see, he never tires of meeting the characters, it's the little boy in him. HAHAHAHA We did a lot of character dining on our honeymoon. I wouldn't normally do quite so much, but since it was his first trip and his family has never had a *true* Disney experience. They go to DL and it's basically like going to Six Flags or any other theme park. They've never been to CA, and to my knowledge, never gone to a table service meal while there. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they don't eat in the parks at all. The fact that MIL was floored at the organic, gluten free, the vegetarian selections, and that there were even things she'd never tried at breakfast leant well to my theory.

Thank you....I love my bouquet. I'm having a very hard time figuring out what I'm going to do for our vow renewal. LOL

LOVE LOVE LOVE all of your photos!!!! I have Randy Chapman photographing my wedding on July 13 and I cannot wait!!

Randy is awesome, we loved working with him (and Angela, his second shooter). He got all the shots I requested and so much more. You're definitely in good hands!

It’s time for lunch at CRT and meeting up with DM, DB, MOH, and her friend, Brenda! From Franck’s we headed back over to the GF to catch the monorail to MK. Once we made it through bag check and the tapstiles, we made our way straight to the castle. We let the hostess know we had a reservation and we were immediately escorted inside to have our photo taken with Cindy herself and wait to be seated.

2013-12-03143614-1_zps60ee0c12.jpg

Once our photos were taken, it seemed like forever to be seated. I’m not even sure how long we waited, but I believe it was around this time when I began texting everyone trying to find out where they were and give a place to meet. Since DM and DB were at Enchanted Tales with Belle, we decided to all meet up there. Side note, DB is a great sport…..he was chosen to be a knight!

He loves this kind of stuff, lives for it…..he’s always happy to make a spectacle of himself. I am the complete opposite. I don’t like being the center of attention, no matter how little attention. It’s so strange because, although his birthday is the day after mine (he’s 3 years older though), we are SO completely different. I love that he had so much fun.

Back to regularly scheduled programming….DH and I were called and lead up to the restaurant, once there, we were given a princess wand, for me, and a sword, for DH (which I think he enjoyed a little too much. LOL). We were also given special laminated placemats, I think that’s what they were, these are normally reserved for children, but I guess our escort was feeling generous. Anyway, we gifted those items to SsIL later. We sat down and our server came over to take our order, she noticed our Just Married buttons. I’m sure there was some small talk, but we’ll move on to the photos. LOL

Our view….

2010-01-05053914_zps81d3941b.jpg

I can say this about the food…..it was not nearly as good as I remember. The appetizer was a sampler, and I couldn’t tell you exactly what was on it other than crackers, a couple of cheeses, and maybe hummus among other things, this was pretty much the highlight of our meal. The entrees were not great, mediocre at best, the desserts were good, DH thought his was ok, but I really liked mine....must be why it's their signature. Honestly, we were impressed with the free cupcake, not that it was uber great, but what I remember liking about it was that it had a flavored frosting instead of the generic vanilla cake/vanilla frosting. Even though it's pictured with the desserts, I think she brought it to us during the entrée. If I remember correctly it was lemon. We both said we would give CRT one more try, but we wouldn’t order the same thing (good luck to that since I don’t remember what I had and I’m a creature of habit! LOL).

DH’s dessert choice:

Here’s a super dark photo of us with our complimentary cupcake….thanks stupid camera.

2013-12-03154054_zps56bb7d69.jpg

Once we finished our lunch, we went to Enchanted Tales to find everyone. Of course, no one was there yet. LOL So we waited for a little while, soon DM and DB came out and there were hugs and all kinds of good stuff. It was the first time we’d all seen each other since the wedding, and they we were all excited about getting to hang out together. We are not an “in front of the camera” group of people. DH likes being in photos, but I think a lot of times he’s more interested in taking photos of me (groan!). I try to be accommodating….anyway, there aren’t any photos of us all together.

Once we all found each other, we decided to get on a few rides. First up was Journey of the Little Mermaid! I must say, not my favorite. Actually, I feel like a lot of the newer rides are all hype and hardly any ride….it all feels super condensed and the payoff for waiting in line SO long isn’t really worth it. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait….that queue line is ridiculous, the theming is spot on, but I can’t imagine waiting in it for any great length of time. Everyone really liked the ride, LM is my favorite movie, so I do love the ride….just wouldn’t wait long for it. We wondered around NFL for a while looking at Gaston’s Tavern and a gift shop. Everyone took photos in front of Gaston’s fountain, but the sun was in a bad place and there were tons of kids playing in it, so none of our photos turned out very well.

By the time we all managed to get our photos, or not get them as it were, we started getting hungry. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like they do A LOT of eating while in the World? I feel like every time I turn around, I’m eating (I know, we had a lot of ADRs, which I’m sure didn’t help)! Off we went to BOG for our dinner ADR. It was packed and I’m SO glad we were able to get the reservation in the first place. We were escorted in and given a “tour”, we were seated in the ballroom. I’d read the restaurant was noisy, but I never imagined it to be quite this loud. We could barely hear each other, and forget about conversation when the Beast comes through. The food was alright, I believe I had the chicken, which, for someone who doesn’t really venture too much away from standards, isn’t saying much. I want to say it was rosemary chicken half with mashed potatoes and asparagus. This would make sense because DH doesn’t like mashed potatoes (I’m certain I’ve mentioned this) and so I will order something just to get them. I really wish I’d taken photos of the food, but our camera was just awful, especially in a dimly lit restaurant. DH, DB, MOH, and Brenda all got up to use the restroom and get photos around the restaurant. None of ours came out and I had to delete them because they were that bad. I could’ve taken photos on my phone, but I’ve been trying not to pull out my phone at dinner, especially if no one else has theirs out, it just starts a bad chain reaction where everyone is on their phones. Getting back to dinner, I believe at least 3 people at the table had the shrimp and scallops. This must be one of the better dishes on the menu because 1. it’s still on the menu, and 2. because everyone who ordered it loved it. We had fun listening to everyone talk about their day and I think the wedding was briefly mentioned as being beautiful. Pretty soon we were all finished with our meals. I don’t think everyone got a dessert, most of us did so we all decided to taste and share. I think DB and DH were the only ones not to have dessert and two of us ordered the same thing. And in keeping with tradition, here are dessert photos. LOL

I think this is The Grey Stuff…..ordered by myself, if I remember correctly, it was basically a chocolate éclair with grey stuff on top.

2013-12-03182358_zps33f6faac.jpg

Lemon-Raspberry Cream Puff, this is the one ordered by two of our party.

2013-12-03182418_zps19f21284.jpg

And Chocolate Cream Puff….the only one with a Mickey touch.

2013-12-03182431_zps3b896a04.jpg

Everyone enjoyed their desserts, though I probably wouldn’t order dessert again. I think next time we’ll try lunch.

Once we all finished and were ready, we headed out to meet Beast….I never did get to see the West Wing. Oh, well, next time…..gives me another reason to go back!

Just for fun….DM and DB with Beast…..
