Tia - I'm glad you got to go to a good restaurant today! Hopefully Terra will fall asleep relatively early so you can get some rest, too!
Uncle1 just e-mailed that he wants us to all go to DL together. If that happens I will need LOTS of help! I will keep you posted!
The poster is sort of coming together. We made a Mt. Olympus out of a paper sack. Still haven't made it to the craft store.
It is so nice here today, right now it is 71 degrees! Tomorrow is a different story.
I hate always coming on and posting about my upside down life but here it is:
Theresa - I'm sorry! I hope you get some rest tonight and that Jim is feeling better.
Lindsay - I still have the PMs you sent me from Glynis about DL. Obviously this trip would be WAAAY in the future if we do decide to go. At least not until Spring or Summer of 2009,depending on everybody's vacation schedules. My friend who used to work for a local AIDS agency is now living in Vegas and working as a travel agent (which is what she did before getting into social work) and she has e-mailed me a couple of times to let me know she can get great DL deals. I might let her work up some packages for me if we can nail down a timeframe. The Uncles are also fond of our local AAA agent, but if we went that route I would have Chanon handle our stuff.
The poster is done. This is what I learned:
Plastic grapes are very expensive. If you are going to buy plastic grapes you should NOT leave your coupons at home. The craft store only sells short metal fasteners - for long ones you must go to the office supply store. When you push the fastener through the foam-core board you have to be REALLY careful, because if the board bends it leaves a BIG wrinkle that can't be fixed. That could cause a 4 letter word to pop out of your mouth. If your child is a snot he might look rather critically at the board and wonder aloud what else could be added to make it look better, because the board wasn't SUPPOSED to be white. Never mind that white is all they sell at Target. Never mind that this project already cost us about $20. (Which isn't THAT expensive, but for something that has no practical use, it kind of IS expensive.) We do have plenty of nice blue Saran Wrap and a bunch of craft foam left over, as well as a big box of fasteners so our next project will be cheaper.

Thanks for all your help Lindsay, I have gone ahead with the plan and paid the deposit. He is very efficient and will probably have the reservation made for us tomorrow. Your fire alarm experience reminded me of when my youngest was in the second grade, they were having fire saftey week at school and she was taking her bath while I was fixing dinner one night, well I burnt something in the oven which set off the alarm. Poor thing freaked out and came running out in her towel dripping all over the floor, the look on her face was priceless.
Theresa - Hopefully things will improve soon.
DH is driving me nuts wanting to go to Disney before November, he says he just can't wait that long. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't talk me into a quick trip before then.
I hate always coming on and posting about my upside down life but here it is:
I had to take Jim to the ER this morning....goober was being a baby and wouldn't walk so I had to call the ambulance. Thankfully a friend stayed with me for the entire time.
Official ER diagnosis: acute laryngitis. I am so thankful for our medical care but it is very expensive at a time when our purse strings are pulled so very, very tight.
On top of that I've gotten a whole lot less sleep than he has because they don't give beds to those stuck in the ER for 5+ hours with their loved ones (plus I didn't sleep much anyway last night).

Theresa, I'm so sorry to hear this. Why wouldn't he walk? I know neither of you got much rest. I hope he feels better soon and that you both get caught up on sleep.I hate always coming on and posting about my upside down life but here it is:

You are really sending me into shock worrying about putting together the science fair board this weekend. I'm very, very afraid. The poster is done. This is what I learned:

I think it looks good, but not $20 good. Here's the project board:
Congrats on the DVC rental. I wish I had someone driving me nuts wanting to go to Disney. Well, aside from my kids, since they can't help pay the bill. Thanks for all your help Lindsay, I have gone ahead with the plan and paid the deposit. May or August would be good
Congratulations on getting the DVC rental! Where did you decide to stay at?
I was showing the boys pictures of different resorts that we have not stayed at yet & they want to try CSR. So it looks like I might be switching from PC for our August trip, they really want to check out the Dig Site pool.
Hi Kids, I have been reading a bit off and on all week. But I find myself a tad in the dumps (no big deal this shall change I am sure).
I am in such a funk today.
Love that!I learned how to do a new background on photoshop so here's a design I came up with it.
That sound fun...for you.so i decided today, march 1 was my deadline to start exercising and getting in shape..i start kickboxing classes next week..tonight my friend let me borrow a billy blanks dvd..i did 30 min of it...was tough but i think ill be okay--at least i hope! but i was proud of myself for doing it!
I'm sure you did better than you think you did!So I survived the test but do not think I did a good job.
Congrats on light packing! Have a great time!Packing was done. It was an ordeal - everything for both of us is in one rolling carryon and a tote!
I'll be back late Tuesday. I better get going - I have a cat that wants my lap before we leave.
Bye!
You can watch my kids overnight if all I have to do is buy you a large coffee!Man, that was a night! Someone had me up almost every hour starting at 1 and ending with the total give up point of 6. It was Terra once, Connor once, Chase twice, Kassie once and the stupid blowup bed with its squeaking several times. I'm so calling Kristi and letting her know that the overnight portion will now cost her one caffine-laden beverage when she's headed this way.
I think Dawn still makes some but they are hard to find. I still have some that I bought on clearance at BJ's. I think they had 2 boxes for 99 cents and I had a few $1 coupons. I have read of someone who makes their own-they cut up handi-wipes and put soap on them and let them dry out.We bring those pre-soaped dishwashing wipes. I don't even think they make them now, but we bought a big container of them for our 2nd trip and we still haevn't used them all. I ended up cutting the wipes into smaller pieces because they are SOO soapy you don't need a whole wipe just to wash a few cups and the coffee maker. We wash the coffee maker and then use our refillable mugs for our coffee. Those black mugs at Disney are impossible to tell if they are clean!
Thanks for the update! Sounds like they are having a great time!Vicki just called.
Not fun!Well, the fun didn't stop around here this morning!
Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight!I had to take Jim to the ER this morning....goober was being a baby and wouldn't walk so I had to call the ambulance. Thankfully a friend stayed with me for the entire time.

How about May? The Flower Fest is cool. August is good too as it's value season.DH is driving me nuts wanting to go to Disney before November, he says he just can't wait that long. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't talk me into a quick trip before then.

I chose OKW, partly because it was the lowest on points, we have stayed at CSR and I loved it. I was going to book it for November but decided to try the DVC rental. We never once had to stand on the bus at CSR, and many times the bus was practically empty. The Pepper Market is different, but you can get a lot of value out of your CS credits on the dining plan with so many different choices. The Dig Site pool is awesome, and they make a mean margarita at the pool bar.
