The Update Of All Updates (Part III) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Wednesday, January 28th, 2015

I had my Tier 5 training, which is called Heart of House, and that’s pretty much the people who get to the store super early in the morning and stock everything that needs to be stocked. On days when we receive shipment the HOH people put the shipment away and then stock as needed. Today we got shipment so I had to help with putting away.

I also met one of the Management interns who happens to be from the hometown right next to mine! Small world!





I got done with work at 1:30 and when I got back to the apartment I headed to Hollywood Studios with the girls. I was in a “I need to watch One Man’s Dream” mood. Sometimes you just need to remind yourself of why you’re here.





No one else had ever seen it, we all cried, it was magical. We kind of wandered around, we did Star Tours at one point and I think we did Toy Story Mania also. And the Muppets show?

I’m not really sure BUT I do know we met this green Army dude! And he tried to run away with Zoe!





We headed out of Hollywood Studios fairly early, we were all pretty tired. We decided to stop at Vista and rent some movies, primarily Mary Poppins. We put that in and all snuggled up around the TV. I fell asleep like 10 minutes into the movie so I headed to my bed and went to sleep for the night. Cause I had another 5 AM! WOOO!

Thursday, January 29th, 2015

I woke up to my 3:30 alarm and got out of bed and showered and got ready for work… woo!



There was no shipment today so there was very little to do, so I just kept stocking the floor all morning, then I went and hung out at the front of the store with my friend Julia and helped her greet.

I headed back home after work and did some homework. Later on we decided we’d go see Into The Woods at Downtown Disney. I had already seen it and so had Kaylee but Laura, Zoe, and Mary had not! It was great we loved it! Except for the people who came in 10 minutes after it started and sat right in front of us! And then proceeded to be on their phones the whole movie! Boo you people! Anyways we had fun!

When we got back everyone was tired and Zoe was a bit delirious in particular.



Friday, January 30th, 2015

I got to sleep in a bit today, which was very nice! I woke up and everyone else was at work except for Alexis. I went for a run and when I got back there was a knock on the door and to my surprise cupcakes had come for me! YAY! My mom is the best!

I had work for 4:30 to close. It was a normal shift I don’t remember anything out of the ordinary happening.

Saturday, January 31st, 2015

I had work from 4:30 to close. Work was rather uneventful…. JK! Tonight Rob (DisneyKidForLife) came by to see me! And I got my first Four Keys Card! And to top it all off there was a package waiting for me when I got home!

I had a lot of fun talking with Rob, we chatted with a couple other CMs too! I was so glad he stopped by to visit!! Thanks!!!







Sunday February 1st, 2015

I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary this day either, I worked on homework in the morning and just hung around the apartment. Then I had work from 4:30 to close, it was my last shift working with one of the ICPs that I really loved!

The Update Of All Updates (Part IV) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Monday, February 2nd, 2015

This was one of my days off for the week and Laura and Alexis also had the day off so we decided to head to Magic Kingdom!

The first thing we did was meet Mary Poppins, which was lovely as always. Then we headed over to the Emporium, I wanted to send all my postcards, but I needed one more! I popped over to Guest Relations and asked them to use the Main Street USA Mickey stamp on my post cards and they kindly did so. Then I dropped them in the mailbox!

Then we popped over to Starbucks for some grub! I got an orange mango smoothies and a bacon-gouda-egg sandwich thing, which was very good! AND MAGICAL MOMENT! The girl working gave me a free cake pop because when I was having trouble deciding what I wanted she mentioned cake pops and was shocked when I had said I’d never had one before!







We wandered over to Tomorrowland while drinking our drinks, we couldn’t actually do anything while we had them, but we saw a line forming for Stitch so we jumped in on that!





After Stitch I think we went on Buzz quick and then we headed towards Fantasyland and decided to stop for Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum!









Those two were so precious and funny! Love them!

We kept wandering and stopped over by the Step Family for a quick pic!



They were too funny, Lady Tremaine was telling Laura that she should bring Anastasia and Drizella to her work because she works at Animal Kingdom and they belong there (cause they’re wild). Too funny! I told Drizella she was my favorite and she goes “Thank you! I’m my favorite too!!!” She’s my spirit animal. I love her.

We headed over to Haunted Mansion in just the knick of time! It started to pour as soon as we got under the awning!





By the time we got off of HM the rain had cleared up. We decided we’d head out. We also decided we definitely needed Via Napoli for dinner, so we made those reservations while we waited for HM.

To be honest, I don’t love cake pops. I was very very excited about this cake pop in particular though since it was so special! But I don’t think I’ll ever get one just for the sake of it.



So we went back to the apartment, chilled, changed, and headed back out!





We went on Spaceship Earth and then headed over to MouseGears then Italy.



Laura and I decided we spoke Chinese so that was an experience.



We were laughing so hard at our story even though we couldn’t understand it at all.


Quick stop in Mexico for Alexis to use the restroom.

Laura and I got jokingly got engaged the week before when we were at Via Napoli so we had a little 1 week anniversary photoshoot. It was adorable.





I got the Melon and Prosciutto pizza, I liked it, but I didn’t love it and I had wished I got the artichoke one instead. I got the strawberry fresca though and that was really good!





We made friends with our Italian waiters and we chatted with them for a bit.

Then we headed over to the American pavilion where I wanted to buy a sweatshirt then realized I left my card in the restaurant and I already had the sweatshirt on cause it was freezing and I took the tag off it so Laura had to run back for me and oh gosh Grace! Don’t leave you card in the black things! All was well though, I got the sweatshirt and then we headed out of the park and pack to the apartment.

We ended up watching funny YouTube videos for a while with everyone and Andrew was over too. It was a lot of fun and we were hysterically laughing for like an hour.

The Update Of All Updates (Part V) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 – Part I

All of us had the day off except Mary so we decided we’d head to the parks! Our first stop was EPCOT!





A kind CM was very excited to make us all buttons, she was quite excited that we were celebrating our day off1











We headed over into a shop to get autograph books for Zoe and Kaylee because they were deprived of happiness as children… just kidding. But they both had never had an autograph book before seeing that they’d never been to Disney so it was a must.



I broke out these really cool attachable lenses a friend from home sent me for my phone, super cool fisheye.



After grabbing autograph books we headed over to meet Mickey and the gang!

Soon enough it was our turn to meet the Boss man himself.



I had him autograph my fanny pack, it was a great moment.

We headed over to Goofy next.

We said goodbye to our friends and then headed over to Starbucks for a bit of a pick me up.

The Update Of All Updates (Part VI) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 – Part II

Then we popped over to meet Chip and Dale, then line was almost non-existent which was awesome. AND Dale was especially sassy and hilarious and accused Kaylee of being a drunk so THAT was hilarious.









Next we stopped over to meet Kaylee’s squirrel…. Yup she claims its hers. It comes and visits her every day a work and she feeds it nuts. She even has dreams about it… Yup, this is real life people.



We made a quick stop over at everyone’s favorite ride! FIGMENT!



ONE SPARK OF LIGHT! SING IT EVERYBODY!

After Figment we all got popcorn and then headed over to Nemo and we watched divers and hung out with the fish and especially the MANATEES!

They were sleeping but like it’s fine, I forgive them, I too enjoy sleeping. They woke up and we hung out for a while but then it was time to go, we headed over to World Showcase!

We stopped in Canada and had bracelets made! We had been talking about doing it for a while and we thought no time like the present!

The Update Of All Updates (Part VII) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 – Part III

Zoe, Alexis, and I were wandering around looking for Kaylee and Laura when a kind woman told us they were in meeting Tigger and Pooh. How she knew? I’m not sure, we were too mad at them for going with out us! There was no line though so we ran over and ran right in with them!

This was such a fun meet and just amplifies my love for Tigger even more.

All Tigger wanted to do was dance!





He also insisted we take a “gangster” picture, I mean you have to do what Tigger says!

We decided to head to Magic Kingdom for Wishes! Mary and Andrew were meeting us there too!

We made our way over to the corner of Liberty Square and Main Street, we tried to move up Main Street but they wouldn’t let us. We had a terrible view, BUT we were all together and that’s really all that matters!

This was also they day that we found out (whether or not this is actually true) that the little girl who sings in Wishes, it was her Make-A-Wish to sing a song for a Disney Fireworks show and that’s where Wishes came from. I haven’t done research on this, a co-worker told me this, and we all just believe it’s true because it warms our hearts and makes us cry and we hope it’s true.





We had a beautiful view of the Castle, just not of the fireworks behind the castle! That’s all right though!

The Update Of All Updates (Part VIII) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 – Part IV

After the fireworks, Laura, Andrew, and I decided we NEEDED to go on Splash! It has been down since we got here so we had to do it! We ran through the whole queue in about two minutes and got right on a boat!



The water is indeed heated in the winter! Fun fact!



We all met up after and headed back to Main Street and yet again, I took a billion pictures!

Then we decided it’d be hilarious to act out our seven dwarves alter egos! Tooooo great!











Then we decided… we were gonna be obnoxious! Our photopass photographer was awesome though! She has so much fun taking pictures with us! She took the seven dwarves ones and these ones! We left a comment card on how awesome she was!





Then we decided it was actually time to proceed walking down Main Street, we stopped though for the Kiss Goodnight!

We stopped at Guest Relations to leave Samantha the photopass photog a card so her leaders know how awesome she is! And we started chatting it up with a really cool 4 year old and her little brother! Their mom was awesome too!



On the way out we saw White Rabbit with no line so we had to stop and give him some loving, we all started running around him saying “WHAT TIME IS IT?!” and being confused and he thought it was so great!





We headed over to Contemporary and grabbed some food at Contempo Café, I had a kids chicken I want to say, I always do kids meal! It’s the perfect size! You get grapes and a cookie! AND a drink! Like how could you do anything else!

After food we headed home. Where after being the apartment for less than two minutes, our downstairs neighbor again thought we were having a party. No no, darling.

I had homework due at midnight so I started doing that when we got back, and just as I was finishing up I accidently swiped back (if you have a Mac you know what I’m talking about) and I lost all my work and had a super freak out and started crying. It was great. So I had to stay up even later and rewrite everything I had just wrote. I finished about 2:30 and then went to bed.

The Update Of All Updates (Part IX) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Wednesday, February 4th, 2015

I unfortunately woke up to a text from my mom saying my grandma had passed away this day. I was extremely heartbroken by this, she was 94 years old and had been living in an assisted-living facility for the past few years, so I knew it was coming, but it was still very hard.

I didn’t have work until 7:00 PM so I worked on some homework and then Kaylee, Zoe, and I headed over to the Outlets and did some shopping. I got some new clothes at Forever21, and they got bags at Vera Bradley. We headed back from the outlets and I headed to work.

I had to tell my manager at work that I was going to have to fly home for the funeral and I cried, it was a mess, but Disney is very understanding about deaths so they said that would be no problem.

Thursday, February 5th, 2015

Today I had work from 3:00 to 10:45, I don’t remember doing anything eventful this day, I probably woke up late, did some homework and then went to work. Mom had called me and told me my flights were going to be Saturday morning and then Tuesday, so I let my managers know that when I got to work.

Friday, February 6th, 2015

I had work from 4:30 to 1:00, but Zoe and I decided to go to Downtown Disney to walk around and get lunch, Mary had just got back from work so she got changed and then drove over and met us there. We checked out the new hat store Chapel Hats, and Ripcurl, and a few other places. I got a Pluto pillow pet for my best friend at home since I was going to be seeing him the next day!

We headed over to Wolfgang Puck Express for lunch because Mac and Cheese!



I left after we ate and then I headed back to the apartment, changed, packed, and went to work. We got out a little early, which was nice because I had to wake up at 5 in the morning for my flight. I was debating getting an uber but I’m not all to comfortable with the concept especially at 4:45 am! So I just woke up and drove myself.

Saturday, February 7th, 2015

Like I said I woke up super early and drove over to the airport. I had two carry-ons so I got my ticket from the people at the window and then headed through security. I got through security took the fake-o-rail over, grabbed some Starbucks, lost an earring, found my earring, met a cute dad and daughter duo who thought it was so cool I worked at Disney while in line, then headed over to my gate and waited. I was super early, so early I could’ve made the first flight but that’s okay better early than late!

I hung out for a bit then went to grab a water and some gum for the flight. Turns out MCO doesn’t sell gum!?!?! Who are you Disney World!?! I’m sorry but like gum is a flying essential! I have super sensitive ears and without gum I end up like crying! Ugh!

We eventually boarded the plan, and were on our way. It was a full flight, I got the window seat though! It was also an extremely cold flight! I wish I had a blanket, but I did manage to fall asleep!



I landed and my mom was there to pick me up! We headed to my house and then we were on our way. Since I had to come home early and the services weren’t until Monday and Tuesday, she said it was okay that I go visit my friends at school! YAY! I got to see my best friend Colby and hang out with him for a bit! And also see my best friend Jenna (whom I call Yenna)!!



It was a bit of a blizzard, and a shock to see snow on the ground taller than me, but I managed! I got to see a lot of my friends so I was very happy even though it was very cold!

Sunday, February 8th, 2015

I stayed over my friends house and when I woke up was surprised with a bit of snow! Yay! MY OWN PERSONAL FLURRY!



My mom came by shortly and picked me up, we headed back to the house then over to my grandparents house to pick the pictures and all of the other things for the services.

We headed back to our house and had dinner and I watched TV and then finally put Breakfast at Tiffany’s on and went to bed.

Monday, February 9th, 2015

I woke up, showered, got dressed, had a sandwich and then we headed back to the city for the wake.



I got to see a lot of cousins I hadn’t seen in a while which was nice. The weather was awful though, there was so much snow, and the roads were horrific. We headed home afterwards, had some supper, and then went to bed.

The Update Of All Updates (Part X) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Tuesday, February 10th, 2015

It was the day of the funeral, we headed to the funeral home, then to the church, then the cemetery, then to the reception. Then I headed to the airport and back to Florida.

When I landed I headed to the car and raced (not really don’t worry) over to Magic Kingdom to meet everyone and hopefully see Wishes. I didn’t get there in time for Wishes but I did see it as I was driving in. I parked at the Contemporary and then ran over to MK.

I met up with the girls outside of Main Street Bakery and we headed over to ride some rides quick! Buzz was first!

Wednesday, February 11th, 2015

I had my Disney class for the first time this morning, it was good, I was pretty tired, but it was interesting. I’m taking corporate communications, so it was all about different companies. My professor is really great too! Class was until about 12, then I headed back to the apartment, went for a run, brought Kaylee to the Verizon store because she had dropped her phone and broke it the night before, the Verizon people were not helpful. So we went to the outlets found the phone-fixer-guys at a kiosk things, got her phone fixed, then we came back to the apartment and I worked on homework for hours.

Then we headed over to Trail’s End to have a birthday dinner for Zoe!!!!

The Update Of All Updates (Part XI) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Thursday, February 12th, 2015

I had a super amount of homework because I fell so far behind with all the traveling and services so I worked on that all day. Mary gave me a fastpass to motivate me to do my homework, it helped a little bit.



I didn’t get my homework done in time to go use it, but having it there in front of me sure was motivating!

After hours of homework and once everyone got back from work we headed downtown! Wolfgangs!


Kids Mac & Cheese and Crème Brulee!



We did some last minute World of Disney shopping and then we headed over to Ghirardelli. Wow! ICE CREAM SUNDAES MAN!


I got the sea salt caramel one… there aren’t words!

I finally caved and got Duffy! As well as an Alex and Ani, a shirt I’d been wanting, and a Donald Duck for my little cousin!

At midnight I ran into the room and assaulted Zoe with the Pooh Bear we bought her for her birthday and it was great she had no idea what was happening and she loved him very much!

ZOE’S BIRTHDAY! YAYY!!!

I had work during the day I believe, and when I got back I worked out for a while and then we headed to Magic Kingdom for Wishes and then we peaced out!




It was really cold, lol. Yes cold in Florida. It happens.



We (well Laura and I) were super obnoxious and sang and danced to Wishes and it was great.



After Wishes we headed right back home, we all had work the next day and needed rest.

The Update Of All Updates (Part XII) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Saturday February 14th, 2015 (Part I)

Valentine’s Day!!! Alexis and I decided to go to the park bright and early because we didn’t have work until later in the day. We were shooting for the welcome show but due to having no gas and having to stop we were there about 20 minutes after!



We headed into MK and saw Snow was out so we went over to meet her!



Next was Mickey! He had no line so we thought why not!! He did a magic trick for us! IT WAS GREAT! I love when you walk into the room and Mickey is talking! It always freaks me out! I get so excited and flail all around!




Duffy really wanted his own pictures with everyone today too!

We popped over and met Tink too cause no one was in line!

MY VALENTINE! (Well one of them)

Walking into Starbucks we met Matt! Who also had a Duffy! He was great we grabbed a picture because Duffy! And we chatted inline for a bit! He also gave me a Pascal pin because I said how much I loved it! He was so kind!!!

It was time to meet some princesses, Punzie first of course!


I had her send a message to my friend Josh who lives in Australia, it was great he loved it!





We headed over to Gaston next because… well because it’s Gaston! And my friend from work Jae was sitting waiting in line! Small world! We talked about Gaston’s and fabulousness it was great, we also got to talking with the two girls behind us who live in the area and are APs and hope to one day work for Disney too!

The Update Of All Updates (Part XIII) – Monday January 26th, - Thursday February 19th, 2015

Saturday February 14th, 2015 (Part II)

After Mary we headed towards Tomorrowland to meet Alexis’s valentine, Stitch!



Then we headed over to Storybook Circus to meet over classic pals! We met some instagrammers I follow in line so we chatted with them for a bit!









We took a quick pic with the insta girls we met and then we popped over to meet Goofy and Donald!





The photopass photographer gave me a great idea! A first visit button for Duffy!!! How perfect!



We stopped and watched DAWM then Alexis and I headed out of the park!





We took the monorail back to the TTC and then went on a grand search for my family brick! And after about 15 minutes of looking we found it!


Oh how it’s faded!







There were rumors of Princes at EPCOT so we headed over to the Beach Club to see if this was true! And it was!












They’re perfect

We said good by to Phillip and Aurora and headed over to the UK real quick, we jumped in line for Tigger and Pooh, and while we were waiting we say Lane and her mom Jen (ferdalump) so we popped over and said hello real quick and told her how much we love her instagram and Lane’s dresses!

It was a great character filled day! We headed out cause I had work to get to! I worked 4:30 to close. I had a lot of fun this shift and met some new people which was really exciting! I made two new friends Hunter and Margaret, Margaret and I made plans to go to Magic Kingdom the next day! Woo!

Margaret and I headed to Magic Kingdom bright and early! We were on a mission to meet characters, she’d barely been to the parks since she got here and her roommates rarely wanted to go! AND she’d never met Gaston. UGH!

Then it was Tigger and Pooh time!






Gaston doesn’t hand books to women because then they run off with beasts, so he hands them to random men standing by





When I asked if we could do single pictures also Gaston called me out for having many many portraits with him… LOL oops. “I know you already have portraits of me, Grace. I know you have a lot of portraits of me.”

After Gaston we headed over to watch Festival of Fantasy at the end of Main Street then head out after that!



















Tink was so cute in the parade that we had to pop over and see her quick before leaving!



I saw Peter on the way out so I had to stop and chat!



We both had work at 4:30 so we headed out and then saw each other there later. I could feel a cold coming on at work, my throat had a funny feeling! Oh no!

Monday, February 16th, 2015

It was nice on Monday, so I slept in a bit, worked on some homework and laid out by the pool with the roomies! I wasn’t feeling too hot so I thought the sun might be a nice way to feel a little better.

I had work at 4:30 so I headed there, not feeling at that great, then I came home and went to sleep.

Tuesday, February 17th, 2015

My cold was in full swing, I was drinking juice and eating soup, and taking all the cold medicine in the world in addition to allergy stuff I take regularly and I was hoping that would make me feel a little better. I had work 4:30 to close

This was the day my best friend Matt decided he’d come visit me during his Spring Break!!! YASSSS!

I came home to left over Wendy’s thanks to Laura.

I had class in the morning, I was starting to feel better but I really did not want to get up! But I did, I got dressed and I headed over to Vista. BUT I couldn’t find my IDs anywhere! We got a call later while I was in class that they were at the front desk of Chatham. I must’ve dropped them when I was running into the apartment the night before, it was raining and I already didn’t feel well so I just ran for it! Thank goodness someone turned them in!

After class I headed back to the apartment and lounged around until I needed to go to work, I did some homework too! Then I had work from 4:30 to close, I remember someone told me I looked like Jill Duggar this night, which was interesting.

Thursday, January 19th, 2015

Today was the day of the Expo! I slept in until about 10 and then I got up, got dressed, and headed over to the race Expo! I was running the 10K so I needed to pick up my race packet!











In the first building I had to pick up my packet with my bib number and my tshirt. I hadn’t printed my waiver out beforehand so I had to do that too!

I also received my pin that I prepurchased!

EXPO TIME!

I had fun walking around and seeing different areas. I love running and running stuff so this was a lot of fun for me. The guys that work at Fit2Run were also very nice to look at! I also noticed that in the first building there was a long line to get into the race merch area where in the second building you could just walk right in. I had planned to go back to the first building and wait in line but since this one didn’t have a line it worked out even better!


Loved this mug but I’ve superstitious about having t-shirts or merch for races I didn’t run/things I didn’t compete in! So since I didn’t do that half I couldn’t buy it!

I got this shirt though!

I had work at 4:30 so I hung out, did homework, ate lunch, laid low cause I was still feeling sick then headed off to work!

Wow!! What an update!!! I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. So sad. I'm glad Disney is so understanding about letting you have some time off. And how nice to get to go back to Florida after all that snow!! I'm loving reading about your adventures and meeting characters and getting to do things so many times. Sigh...maybe when I retire
