Here's Toby Tyler and Ol' Yeller sharing a soda.

A couple more celebrity thoughts on the passing of Toby Tyler I though I would share:

"I can honestly say there would be no Disneyland without Toby Tyler. Not only did his pictures make millions of dollars, I recall talking with Toby one day and complaining about seaside amusement parks and he said, "Gosh Mr. Disney, why don't you just build your own?" And that was the moment Disneyland was born. The monkey? Mr. Stubbs was a great character actor. Liked to fling his poo around a little too often for my taste, but I always loved his acting. In fact, as soon as they thaw me out, the first thing I plan on doing is watching some Toby Tyler movies!" Walt Disney

"Toby Tyler was a superstar. I idolized him and, true story, when Disney approached me to star in "The Universe Of Energy" attraction, I fought for having Toby Tyler as my co-star. It didn't work out and we ended up with that drip Bill Nye, but I know nobody would sleep during the ride if Toby Tyler was on the screen. The monkey? Mr Stubbs and I had a good working relationship until, and this is a true story, he was supposed to co-host my show for a week, but then he cancelled at the last minute. Just as a joke, we showed a picture of Leona Helmsley with his phone number under it. I guess Mr. Stubbs got all kinds of abusive calls and won't speak to me to this day. Oh well, at least he didn't sue." Ellen Degeneres

I'm sitting in the lobby at my dd's dental visit and I'm trying to laugh quietly.

The line of nobody sleeping during "The Universe of Energy" if Toby was cast ... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

He was also in Babes in Toyland with Annette Funacello, Tommy Sands, and Tommy Kirk.

I remember watching him frequently in Pollyana, Babes in Toyland, and Spin and Marty.

Breaking News!!!

AP. . . Burbank, CA. . . "Today the Walt Disney Co. announced the long awaited and much anticipated biopic of acting legend Toby Tyler.

Tentatively titled: "Why'd ya do it Mr. Stubbs- The Life and Times of Toby Tyler", the epic will reportedly have a budget of $11 billion, feature an all-star cast, be filmed on 8 different continents, and directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Disney CEO Bob Iger said at a morning press conference, "This is a project three decades in the making. While my predecessors were wasting time on Pixar and Star Wars, I am committed to seeing this project through so new generations can enjoy the story of one of the greatest actors in cinematic history. I also hope it will stop that loon in Coweta, OK. from sending me 300 'Toby Tyler' e-mails a day. Good day."

While filming has begun, a complete cast list is unavailable. But the AP has confirned the following are involved:

Elijah Woods as Toby Tyler

Emilia Clarke as Haley Mills

Jamie Farr as Mr. Stubbs

Miley Cyrus as Ol' Yeller

Robert Deniro as The Ring Master

Janet Reno as Fred McMurray

And featuring Dan Murphy as The Candy Apple Seller

When badgered for a tentative release date, Iger said, "I don't know; let's say 2021."

Already, millions and millions of people have taking to social media, expressing joy, weeping tears of graditude, and begging theaters for advanced tickets.

In fact, one person even managed to smuggle out an early scene of the film and post it on "I'llbeinprisonsoon.com" -

While the AP cannot confirm the authenticity of the clip, we figured, hey, what hell, let's report it anyway.

When will it be released in Australia? Is it the standard 6 years after the rest of the world?

Also, Dan Murphy's sell liquor not candy apples. I'd suggest writing an email of complaint about that casting decision.
