Official Wine & Dine 2018

I wish the after party was just a separately paid event for everyone, especially now that this is a morning race.

I might have missed this but did the prices go up? I paid $180 for the WDW Marathon in January, and the Wine and Dine Half is $200? Seems odd that I am paying $20 more for half the distance.

Yea you can. I’m griping about having to pay for a party that I’m not going to attend. Hopefully they still make it easy to assign someone else to the ticket.
Dies the person running the HM have to be the one to purchase extra for friends/family or can anyone purchase?

Saw in a FB group someone mention they updated descriptions so went to rundisney and found these:

"Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon featuring Chef Mickey!"
10k is "in an exciting race celebrating Chef Louis & Sebastian!"
" Disney Two Course Challenge hosted by Lumiere. "
5k is "celebrating Chef Tony from "Lady and the Tramp." "

If this is true then it’s totally a sign to do Ursula for the 10k (I was between her and Rapunzel for last year and went with the latter)

Wine & Dine has always been the most expensive half since it includes admission to the after-party and a small gift card.

Well they already have my money. They have dates announced, and themes announced. Other than the courses I am not sure what they could do.

I agree that it’s very strange to push back a registration though. What do they still need to do to get it “ready”?

How soon do y'all start making hotel plans and the like? I'm local so I don't typically plan run weekends like "vacations" but for this one, I'd like it to be a celebration of meeting my training goal! I'm planning on doing at least one or two nights in a hotel and bringing my parents to Food & Wine for the first time.

Do the hotels fill up quickly this early? Will I get "better" pricing by booking earlier? Any moderate hotel recommendations - Disney or non-Disney?

I'm excited AND a planner, so... :)

For what's worth I have already booked my room for the weekend. I am using the military discount and had pretty slim options. I'm sure it would have been better at rack rate. I actually called to book the week after I got back from W&D last year. Ended up waiting about a month after W&D to book while looking at what options we could get.

IT issues maybe? Well that sucks hope I can make it in for the 10k with the masses on Tuesday or they still have slots open come 8pm Monday (or my sister can log on with 3 different active accounts) I purposely took off the 8th and 13th to be on at noon

I still haven't gotten my free entry from the 2017 half that was cancelled. Starting to think something is up, they keep pushing when that link will go out

I’m so bummed. I took a sick day tomorrow, being legitimately sick, and I thought at least I’d be able to register through DVC. No such luck.
On a related note, is it possible to register on a phone as opposed to a computer or iPad?

Yeah you could totally do it on a phone.
