Which actors can you not stand?

Good thing Billy Murray was nice or you would have a big hole in you cinema history. So the Griswald and caddyshack references going right over your head Huh?😥....oh wait...I see grew up with....so when was your first Chevy Chase movie?

My parents adored Billy. I still don’t think I’ve ever seen a Chevy Chase film (I’ve seen clips of National Lampoon Family Vacation.

Don't most people have character flaws? That makes them people. And no not just anyone can get a degree particularly a few of those listed.

That doesn't matter though. Everyone I know states their opinions about things whether degreed or not. Celebrities seem to be the only group that isn't supposed to.

I know several people who have PhD's in STEM fields, that doesn't make them an expert in politics, or even particularly "smart" in anything outside of that field. Of course they could be, one of them has her PhD in bio and is also an attorney but I'm not seeking her out for plumbing or medical issues. It isn't that she isn't supposed to have any opinions on those things, but if she's going to try to influence someone with them it might help if she actually knew something about them. That's how I see celebrities, they know how to influence and entertain people that's about all.
If any of the ones with degrees you mentioned weren't actors- we would have no idea who they were.

Besides, having a degree doesn't make you smart, and it certainly doesn't make you an all knowing, enlightened in all things person. It means you have some intelligence, are capable of doing specific work required of you and that you follow through with that work even if challenging.
There are millions of people with those same exact qualities that don't have a few letters following their name.

will ferrell - I love comedy and I know tons of people love his comedy, but I just don't get it. I have tried watching several movies he's in and never get past the first 10 min
I am with you on this one. I don't like Jim Carrey either. Their work seems completely unnecessary to me.

While I would agree with you on stuff like Dumb and Dumber, I don't agree with you when it comes to The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I love stupid humor and Adam Sandler is one of the best at stupid humor. I will watch any of his movies if I'm flipping through the channels and find one. I understand why he isn't everyone's cup of tea, though.

George Clooney is the one that I can't watch. He got too full of himself and his acting suffered for it, IMO.

For a while I really couldn't stand him either though I'm not sure why. I think I thought he was a little overrated. Little Women completely changed my mind, I loved him (as well as everyone else) in that movie.

I didn't like him in that, either. Laurie should be attractive, not look like a consumptive child! Actually, I think that's the only thing I've seen him in, I just find him completely off-putting in general.

I'm not a fan of Nicholas Cage movies -- just not my style.

a previous poster mentioned several educated actors. Jody Foster started reading at age three so I guess it was natural for her to get her degree in Literature -- from Yale, where she graduated magna cum laude. Yale did give her an honorary doctorate later on.

When Martin Sheen was in West Wing he expected us to agree with every political statement he made in real life.

Not a fan of Tom Cruise, and especially not Borat.
Sacha BaRon Cohen - genius.

I find comedians in general annoying when they act like whenever they say something, everyone should be rolling on the floor laughing. Many try TOO hard to be funny even when they aren't. The TV hosts of those 2 new game shows "Weakest Link" & "Supermarket Sweep" are just annoying to watch.

I dislike Will Farrell and Steve Carroll movies. Both seem like very nice men in their personal lives but I don't like their characters.

I really cringe at any Jim Carrey movies. My dislike for him goes back to the tv series In Living Color.

Speaking of comedians and hosts, I'd like to add Jimmy Fallon.
