CFU support question. I think the 5% on groceries thing needs to happen for my house....our grocery budget is exploding right now with how much food our kids eat. But we have 3 different chase logins that lead to our various credit cards/accounts.

DH has a business account (checking and a CIP), dh's CU card with both our names on it and our joint personal checking account [login #1]

I have a CIP [login #2]

Our joint checking account, joint savings account, and my CU card, again with both our names. [login #3]

If I wanted to get the support bonus, who needs to refer from which login? My thought is to refer from login #1 to login #3. But I don't know if the common checking account will screw stuff up.

You can generate a support link from Chase’s refer a friend website...just google it.....you don’t need to be logged in
If you want to send your DH a support link from your freedom account just enter that accounts last 4 numbers ....if you are applying for the CFU send the support link from your DHs freedom card

I just applied for a CSP as part of the first half of a MDD. If I don’t get approved right away, I need to call recon today, correct??

Woo hoo! My first call to reconsideration and - success! I've now got a bright, shiny new CSP and 80k URs! Fingers crossed the second half of the MDD goes as smoothly!

I feel like there is a word missing. Are they extending certs through August 2021? DH has one expiring 1/21 and hoping it can be extended. Even better if he doesn’t have to call in.

Might have missed this already reported here but Marriott certificates have been extended through August.

I see this too, so I don't have to worry about having activity now until then either?
Plus, points expiration won’t resume until August 1, 2021, so you have more time to use them for free nights, gift cards and so much more.

I had deleted my original post last night when I was able to get those seats changed using points... but the part I deleted said that I wasn't able to get it to go through using money (and tried in both the app and on the website.

Today this is in my pending on my card. Here's hoping it falls off on its own and I don't have call anyone to get it straightened out!

Got my shiny new CIC in the mail today and logged it in my spreadsheet so I know what my MSR deadline is.

And then I laughed at myself because it's not like I've ever struggled to meet one before!

If there's anything this has taught me, it's that I am very, very good at spending money! I always say a person should do what they're good at!

I have a question regarding cell phone protection...anyone have experience with this? If I pay the monthly bill on my cc that has the protection ,but it actually belongs to my ds (hewill pay me back on the side) does that provide coverage if he drops it etc? (phone is paid in full,he uses a prepaid monthly plan)

Just did this through CIP for DH. The bill is paid on his card, the protection covers all the phones that the bill lists. They gave him $449 for his destroyed phone that he had to replace. No idea how they arrived at that number, max is $500.

This is great news. I have 2 expiring 1/31/21 and one 6/1/21. The soonest I will use them is mid-end of June 21.

I was thinking the same when I decided to go for the Chase Marriott 5 night offer. $5k in 3 months when I'm barely spending beyond groceries. I did figure I'd put some Christmas presents on it. Less than a month in and I'm half way through thanks to an insurance payment and moving expenses.

That is good to know. I just checked and our travel fund is still sitting on 11/18/20.

mine had been extended until 2022 also. They showed up in my account without me having to pull up the numbers...that was new to me. They also let me convert them to points, so I went ahead and did that. Better because then I can use them for my family and not just in my name.

Wow! This is a great benefit. I wonder how long you have to pay the bill on the card before the protection kicks in?

We actually need a useful business card for a real business. We have excellent credit and are way under the 5/24 rule.

i used mine for a staycation at ritz carlton laguna nigel. room itself was $700+. still had to pay $50 resort fee and $50 valet parking free though.
had a nice time, bathroom is fancy as hell.

perhaps theres one around your area? or maybe a st regis?

Sometimes the stars align right and things fall neatly into place. Planning to move next spring to Virginia, have been looking at places online to get a feel for what's out there, prices, etc. Mentioned to a group of people that I'm looking to move to Alexandria, someone says I have a friend there, friend just happens to live in the area I'm looking at, recommends a real estate agent who lives in the area also and knows of something just coming on the market, drove down yesterday, made an offer, offer accepted this morning! Crazy!
