Disneyland Reopening Speculation Superthread

Rapid testing would work well in the theme parks, but on a multi day cruise trip, you'd have to test everyone every day. Those rapid tests can't pick up people in the early stage of the infection and may show a negative result, followed by a positive one a day or 2 later. Not sure how they would enforce daily testing on a cruise ship.
In theory, you could do this. It would be a horrible hassle, but you basically have testing stations, everyone needs to check-in at one by a certain time in the morning. You get a colored sticker for your KTTW card (which is used for room key, payment, etc, so you pretty much always keep it on you and they could require you to wear it on a lanyard). Different color each day. Then if a crew member sees you around without the current colored sticker, you get escorted to a testing station. They also would scan in everyone as tested so they know who they need to track down.

Or they bring Magicbands to the cruise ships. You have to scan whenever leaving the "residential" areas. It turns green if you've gone to testing that day, blue if not. That's what they have been doing for the NBA bubble. They have to scan whenever they enter or leave their hotel building.

I had thought that would be the solution for cruise ships and possibly WDW. Once you are tested, as long as you don't leave the bubble, there is practically no risk. "Once you leave the bubble" would be the sticking point for DL/DCA - a very small % of people stay on property, and even those people are exposed to everyone in DtD who presumably would not be tested. Masks on a cruise ship would be a deal-breaker for me - but a quick test any time you re-board the ship? I could do that. I did masks in WDW - it's not a big deal. It would be nice to get the ride capacities back up and the show back open though if testing is the answer to that.
The guy is an ex-Imagineer. Yikes did that article author have to go digging to find someone kinda from Disney with that viewpoint 🙄

Reality is the tech isn’t there yet, won’t be for sometime and theme park guests will be LAST in line to get it. (Have we not learned anything about how the Governor views theme parks? Bottom. Of. Food. Chain.)

Or just not a priority. I’d say concerts, live in person sports, and similar are even lower than theme parks. They aren’t getting okay to operate for in my estimation at least another 18 months. When enough of the population has gotten vaccinated.

OK everyone, let's "lighten" up OR should I say "fatten" up things a bit. :) Well, we already know what rides everyone will go on when Disneyland reopens...how about (insert drum roll)THE FOOD!!!!! There is nothing like eating your favorite food INSIDE the parks. OK, here we go.....
What would be your first "main course" AND desert be. Here are my picks....

Main: Monte Cristo (at Blue Bayou waving at boats going by)
Desert: Dole Whip (ALWAYS!!!)

Anaheim City Council meeting last night:

Anaheim Mayor Wants Disneyland Reopening Clarity as Visit Anaheim Bailout Questions Swirl
Anaheim Mayor Harry Sidhu invited Gov. Gavin Newsom to the city in an effort to get theme park reopening guidelines...
“I want to be clear, this is not reopening Disneyland for Disney’s sake … it’s for hundreds of small businesses, tens of thousands of jobs,” Sidhu said. “That is why I’m personally inviting Gov. Newsom, who I have praised since day one of this crisis, to come to Anaheim.”

We’ve been missing baked potatoes from Troubadour Tavern!

As far as dessert...I’ll go with pumpkin spice beignets from Mint Julep! 😋 Definitely ready for fall. So Cal needs to cool down!!🥵

My main is the forrest mushroom pizza from Craftsman Grill. I usually save my sugar for cocktails, so I'll go with a rye manhattan from Hearthstone Lounge. I guess I really miss GCH. 😂

I'm torn on this one.

If I'm at DL, I'm going for Plaza Inn Fried Chicken.
Dessert: Something from the Jolly Holiday Bakery

At DCA: Piggy Wings and Potato Skins from LLL
Dessert: Pixar Parfait
