Favorite movie snack?

Buttered popcorn with Kernal Seasonings white cheddar and a diet coke with a splash of Cherry Coke.

We got a new theater about 3 years ago and the competition shut down immediately. It's very nice theater with extra comfy stadium seating, but their popcorn is just not up to snuff. I'd take the old place with uncomfy seats and sticky floors back in a heartbeat for their perfect popcorn.

Buttered popcorn and red licorice. Do you have Twizzlers in the States? They're a little different than Red Vines. DH doesn't like popcorn but has to have Glosette Raisins (same as Raisinetes) and DS is all about the Sour Patch Kids.

Usually a diet soda or iced tea and popcorn without butter, but if I want something sweet I'll also get Raisinets. The only time I've ever eaten those are at the movies.

Yes, we have Twizzlers. Their Nibs were my favorite as a kid.

Buttered popcorn and a water is what we get. My dad used to buy us those ice cream bon bons. Can’t remember what they were called. Dibs?

Way back when I worked for a casino I got a ridiculously good discount for movies and snacks. We’d go weekly, the price was so good. On occasion we’d grab a beer at the bar and “sneak” it in. (they just looked the other way) There are a couple of places here that serve alcohol.

We don't get butter for our popcorn. We get salty or sweet. Or toffee if you buy it in a bag. But we DO get a plethora of different chocolates, including KitKats, Munchies, Fruit Pastilles, penny sweets, Snickers and more :)

As for hot food, we get nachos and hot dogs but not much else.

No kidding? Didn't know it was still a thing. Of course, I, again, wasn't buying alcohol there.
Me either. I don't buy coffee there either. We have a chain known as Dutch Bros, that is our go to coffee place. Only 284 locations. Tiny compared to the 27,000+ Starbucks.
They get a lot of national media play for how well they treat their employees.

Don't go to the movies much anymore but loved nachos when I did. Now I just sit home and watch a taped movie and make my own nachos like I'm doing right now!! :thumbsup2

Yeah - Twizzlers are a Hershey product, or at least Hershey's bought out the company.

I'm rather big on just regular popcorn. However, we've got some places that operate on a different model (a combination of stadium seating, tables, and love seats) with a full kitchen and service to the table. Order at the front, got a number to place at the table or counter, and wait for the order. This place also has alcohol. There are other places like that.

Even the big chains have alcohol now. Our local AMC and Regal locations have beer and wine, although it's all in the lobby.

I don't particularly like any kind of beverage during a movie for obvious reasons. I can't quite figure out why anyone would order a large soda. A beer is another matter, although I'm usually pushing it when it comes to making it, unless I go before the movie starts. I kind of wish there were intermissions. I'm wondering why theaters don't schedule intermissions any more since they could sell more stuff.

Not obvious - why don't you like beverages at the movies?

I try so hard to be all willy nilly and adventure out on different tastes, but when the days is over I'm back to popcorn

Buttered popcorn with furikake (seaweed, typically sprinkled on rice), arare (rice crackers), gummy bears and peanut butter M&Ms. Yum!

I'm a popcorn or take-out food girl at home.
Strictly Twizzlers & Diet Coke girl at the movie theater.

We used to have a local theater around here, that served a full bar, full dinner dinner, and interesting snacks. The movies were not new, but that was ok. The seats were heaven! Large leather recliners with fold out trays. It's since closed up, but it used to be my favorite place for date night.
