It's our "Last" Trip to WDW, so we're going DELUXE! *We're Back After 11 Days in WDW*

That looks like a great choice for Mother's Day! We were at WDW for Mother's Day last year. My parents hired a guide to take us to MK. We started with brunch at GF and then did this awesome day at MK. We had ADRs for dinner at Wolfgang's but were too tired to do it.

Great report so far! Looks like your family is going to have an amazing trip. I hope your husband changes his mind and wants to go back to Disney World on your next vacation. My husband is always saying that he wants to branch out from Disney World but I'm fine with just going there. I hope he comes around soon. LOL

Thanks for joining in and :welcome:

What is it with these husbands and the need to "branch out" anyway?:rotfl:

I am certainly hoping that this trip is just the thing I need to turn DH around on Disney. I am convinced that he simply hasn't vacationed the "right way" at Disney in the past. (To date, he has only been to WDW 3 times, all off property:confused3) So I have very high hopes for this trip. And if I don't succeed in converting him, at least we are going out with a bang!;)

Oh my goodness...how could you ever top that??? What was the experience like with the guide? Did you have people checking you out all day, figuring you were some sort of celebrity or something? That would be such a great way to travel! Just not in my lifetime!:rotfl:

I came over from my PTR. I love the pics of BC. I would love to stay there someday.

Like you, this trip is our last Disney one for a while, so I, too, want it to be a great one!

looks like you have everything all planned out! how great to get to stay for so many days!
Your meals look great, you will definately be stuffed! Yay for Narcoossees! Def. keep all your receipts so you can add up your savings. I used that back pocket of the baggalini, the one that goes up against your back, to hold all my receipts.

Hi Amanda! Thanks for stopping by!:welcome:

I don't want to have expectations that are too high for this trip...but I have to admit they are pretty lofty!:goodvibes However, I am pretty confident we will have a fabulous time...I have *never* had a bad trip at Disney!:goodvibes

Oh, and you are just going to love Narcoossee's! I promise!

Yes, I can't wait to try Narcoossee's!:)

Welcome Heather!:welcome: So happy you stopped by!

Yet another plug for Narcoossees! And Kevin & John from the podcast yet again talked it up! I already can't wait!!!:goodvibes

Hmmm....not sure I want to be "stuffed" on the DxDP. But to be honest, with all the 2 TS meals we will be eating (meaning we will be doing light breakfast in the rooms some days and sharing some meals), I am not convinced that we will be eating any differently than normal. We always order appetizers, and even though we may not order dessert each meal, I have no problem taking those with us for later in the evening when we get a craving for a snack. Extra snack credits will be used at Goofy's for treats to take home at the end of the trip, or on bottled water. Plus, I plan on getting 8 days out of our 7 day plan.;)

I am definitely interested to see whether I was correct in estimating that we would be saving a bunch of money on the plan. I liked seeing your calculations on your past trip reports, so I definitely plan on doing the same!;)

Are you doing the DP on your upcoming trip?

yes we are doing the DP but not deluxe since we are staying CL.
DOn't know if you knew this or did this, but you can't get a RCT from goofy's for a Snack credit anymore. doesn't that suck? I was so bummed when I heard at the end of last summer, b/c on teh deluxe plan we would get about 9-10 RCT!

It was awesome! We cut the lines on almost every ride. I think most people just resented us! ;) It certainly wasn't cheap and I'm very grateful that we got to experience that. I suppose that if we could only travel during peak season (or the Christmas holiday), I would find a way to pay for a guide because that would make it ok! The guide was telling us that many families hire him for several days in a row so they can go to each park with a guide.

Hi Trish :wave2:

I popped over to your PTR from mine--I have caught up over the course of the day. :goodvibes Your children are adorable! Is that the My Disney Girl doll Katie is holding? Cute photo of Declan!

Yay for being able to get BCV! A 11 day trip--sounds like heaven!! CR photos are beautiful, the view from the Tower Room is just gorgeous. Wishes with a glass of wine (if you break it out before DD and DS go to bed)--sounds like a perfect combination to me!!

Yummy food porn pictures :) The pictures of your family with the characters--so cute!! Katie's outfits are so cute. Are the customs? Did you make them? If they are customs, will you give me the seller's information?

I, too, am shopping for a new bag. I am not sure I want a Vera--similar hestitation. The bag I am leaning towards at the moment is Sherpani Messenger Bag though I am not sold on that one either.

I love the launch pictures! I am excited because, at the moment, there is a launch scheduled while we will be there this fall.

Never been to House of Blues but have heard fantastic things about it. Can't wait to hear what you think! I also love the counter service in Mexico. They have kept open the booth they put up for Food & Wine so you still haven an option for Mexican, if you want it. They make a good chicken tostado.

Wow...I am sure CL will be great! Definitely don't blame you there for only going with the regular dining plan!

Believe it or not, we have never really indulged in the pretzels or rice crispy treats from Goofy's. I think it would be the type of thing where the kids would take 1 or 2 bites and the rest would go to waste. We will probably just pick up some small candy for the kids to enjoy and bring a bunch of stuff back for people at home.

But if they have limited what is available on the DP so much that we have to load up on the cloud horns from the Kringla Bakery, that is ok too!:rotfl:

Now that is touring in style!;)

Your Mother's Day Brunch sounds great!!!
I'll be at Cape May for breakfast.

Thanks! Cape May should be fun too!:goodvibes

Hi there and Welcome!:welcome:

The doll pictured with Katie is actually her American Girl Doll. But we actually did have to buy the My Disney Girl doll to get the outfit for her AGD because they didn't sell the outfit separately. And this was after she attended the Tea Party twice and received a My Disney Girl both times! So she has 3 Disney Girl dolls in addition to her 2 American Girl Dolls! At least no girl is ever left without a doll to play with when they come over to our house for playdates!:)

The Disney dolls are nice, but certainly not as nice as the AG dolls. Then again, their price tag is no where near the AG dolls either!

***SORRY*** I am wrong! The doll pictured IS the Disney Girl Doll.

Thanks for the comments on Katie's outfits. I think there is only one of them on this TR that is a custom (pictured in front of the BC), but you can't see it too well. She wore a lot which are featured in my past Mommy-Daughter TR. If there is something you are interested in specifically send me a PM and I can give you the seller's info. All would have been purchased...sewing is not one of my specialties!:rotfl:

I actually will be going through all of our old customs next weekend to see what still fits and to get the rest ready for ebay. There are many that I will be very sad to part with!:sad2:

I am glad I am not the only one with dilemmas over the perfect park bag! I still haven't figured it out yet!

And very good news that your trip is coinciding with a shuttle launch! Hopefully the schedule stays put!:)

Yes - I think the Gospel Brunch will be a blast! I will definitely let you know how it goes!

Christine -thanks so much for letting me know about the Mexican booth! I was hoping to get a quick Mexican CS lunch on one of the days we aren't on the DxDP and now I can!:) I am almost embarrassed to admit it, but I love that "swill" as it has been called!:rotfl:

I wondered if it was an AG. :) I thought perhaps it was the Disney Girl since the outfit--I wish they gave that outfit with the doll at the tea party since we can by the Aurora dress in the park. Oh well, perhaps we will get her a second on (or convince one of her DGMs for her birthday to pick up a second one :rolleyes1).

I already pulled up the Mommy and Daughter TR but I do not think I am going to be able to finish it tonight.

We both have time to figure out the bag! :rotfl:

Looking forward to reading along. popcorn::

Sorry - I just went back to double check, and lo and behold, the doll pictured is in fact the Disney Girl Doll!

I'm really enjoying your PTR. The whole trip sounds devine. I'm so glad to live in the age of the internet, so I know that I'm not alone in my all thoughts Disney.

Travelon make a great bag too. They make various styles. I have a cross-body bag made of leather. The organization of the bag is great, you can carry a camera and other vital essentials, without it being cumbersome. You can find them on QVC.com. I too obsess. ;)

Santa brought my 4 year old an American Girl "bitty baby" for Christmas. I wasn't willing to spend the amount for a "real" AG doll yet! I don't know about the Disney Dolls. Maybe I could get her one for the trip....

Found ya! Yay!

What an AWESOME trip you have planned! You've got the best of the resorts for sure. You know that Contemporary is probably my favorite so I'm thrilled you'll be there for a night. Can't go wrong with any of your choices. :cloud9:

Love your meal choices too. You are trying a few that are on my list to try one of these days - Jiko especially. I hear the steak and mac-n-cheese is to die for! You know, your dining list reminded me that we have still never been to Crystal Palace. We must do that one soon.

Sorry about missing the Space Shuttle. We happened to see it once a few years ago. It was our one time staying at the Contemporary and we had the most awesome view from our balcony. Such a neat thing to see.

House of Blues luncheon for Mother's Day sounds great too! Can't wait to hear about it all.

Sam is really into her American Girl dolls too, which I'm glad she still likes even though she is getting older. In fact, she just bought American Girl Doll Crafts last night and has been busy making things for her dolls since she got home from school. :)

Thank you!:goodvibes And Welcome!!!:welcome: I hope you continue to follow along!

And thanks for the tip on the Travelon...I will have to check that out! However, I am pretty convinced so far on my MEC given the awesome price and no shipping!;)

If you can hold out for awhile longer your pocketbook will thank you - LOL! However, as much money as I have shelled out at AG the past few years, I can honestly say it has been one of the best things for my daughter. She loves the dolls, but more importantly, we love the series of books. We have all of the historical character books (that are now retired) which explain all about US history in various parts of the country over various timeframes. They are Wonderful! I think I look forward to our bedtime reading even more than DD!

We have every AG video (I believe there are 4 now) and they too are some of the best movies in our collection. We have a bunch of the AG activity books and crafts as well and like those as well.

It is not something I have ever regreted spending money on. And it is the easiest Christmas shopping I have ever done. Two years in a row now virtually all of DD's gift's have been mailed to my door and DD wakes up happy as a clam on Christmas morning!;)

Found ya! Yay!

Hey Michele! Nice to see you over here!:goodvibes

Yes, you and I think alike on our love for the Contemporary!:cloud9: I can't wait to get back there again, even if it is for only one night, and a very short nite at that!

Girl, I can't believe you haven't been to Crystal Palace yet! You have to fix that soon!

I am so glad to hear Sam still enjoys AG. I am hoping I can get another 2-3 years out of it. I love that it is such an old-fashioned, wholesome, educational activity for girls. :goodvibes

I find it funny that my daughter loves dolls so much. I never really did! :confused3
It is funny that the birthday outfit we bought for her bitty baby cost more than a typical outfit for my daughter!

I'm subbing. What are you dates?

I know what you mean about too much Disney. So I try to play out mini vacations in the year so that DH doesn't get Disney over load. Like this month we aren't doing anything. Ha! But next month we are going to the Grand Canyon and then May WDW~!! Then Vegas in July and DL for my B-Day and then maybe Turkey to see the family. Not sure if that one is gonna work out.
