Lindsay & Jackie's Wishes Wedding - 5/15/15 - WP/Ariel's/UKL

We went back inside to the air conditioning and took some portraits of me that I am just dying over.

I can't decide which one of these I like better….

I have no idea…

YAY WP! (well and Franck's)

When we arrived, our first guests were taking their sweet time on the bridge and Diane shooed them inside LOL (for Kelly and Cliff, it was Todd, Cheryl, Steve, and Shalon)

I got out of the van and was like "oh hey monorail STRIKE A POSE"

And then we were both on board with the monorail photos!

Yeah, we look that comfortable walking across the bridge to the WP IN OUR WEDDING ATTIRE. We are ridiculous.

This became Jackie's signature seating position, her poor feet were so mis!

Tara's face! Her granola bar face? I have no words. She was probably saying "DID YOU SIT DOWN WITHOUT MY JACKET?!?!"

I'm getting better at the whole sitting thing!

Ok next up, a ridiculous number of ceremony photos!

I really enjoyed seeing your pics on Facebook right after your wedding, but seeing all of these ones tells so much more of your story! You are both radiating joy! I love it! princess:

I am loving your report, waiting on the edge of my seat for more.
There is no such thing as too many pictures in a warring journal, so keep them coming.

Jackie is cracking me up with her expressions, I feel like she is the kind of person who is alway on and always making everyone laugh. You look so happy together. I am looking forward to ridiculous amounts of ceremony pictures.

Thank you so much! Here comes the next installment ;)

According to our early guests, our pianist/organist was warming up with Wishes and Spectromagic before he started our seating music… SO COOL!

I loved our aisle runner!

We are terrible at choosing colors, so we didn't, which made our glass awesome, but our set-up a hot mess!

I can tell when Jackie's 007 music started from these:

LOOK at how excited the guys are!

That last one is my FAVE!

Next up, the girls! Kailie, Tanya, Tara, and Lauren

FG!!! So I watched from the vestibule as Diane tried to show Maddy what to do and take her Donald away. She was not impressed, but her dad finally got Donald and came and threw him in the vestibule with me! Maddy started walking, dropped a couple of petals, and then got real confused.

Until she saw this:

And ran!

Then Lauren took some petals and dropped them into the floor by Jackie and Maddy went to town!

My music started and I immediately teared up. I chose Here Comes the Sun and it was perfect. Thankfully, Maddy was still throwing down and picking up petals as I walked down so I could shut off those tears for a little while longer!

Cutest tantrum ever!

Melissa's reading came up (thankfully) quickly, and I love these photos because she literally said to me "I'm NOT looking at you, because I'll lose it!" So this is her not looking at me and reading from The House at Pooh Corner:

“Pooh” whispered Piglet.

“Yes, Piglet” replied Pooh.

“Nothing,” answered Piglet,

“I just wanted to be sure of you.”

“If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.”

“It’s so much more friendly with two.”

“Pooh, promise me you won’t forget about me, ever. Not even when I am a hundred.”

Pooh thought for a little.

“How old shall I be then?”

“Ninety-nine.”

Pooh nodded. “I promise,” he said.

“Some people care too much, I think it’s called love.”

And she lost it anyway and so did I

Oh hey, Maddy's happy again! (her dad went and got Donald)

Next post: Our vows, glass ceremony, kiss, and exit!

After that sob show that was Melissa's reading, our officiant read what seemed like an eternity of words, most of which I (thankfully again) don't remember.

Our Vows: we took a page from Tammie and Rodney when we wrote them, so I'll share them here for you guys too! We had 3 parts, the introduction, the back-and-forth, and the repeating vows. The first part we each wrote for each other, the middle and end we wrote together. The end we both read the exact same thing to each other.

Lindsay: Jackie, I love you because you are thoughtful, kind, and generous. You have a passion for life and for the future that makes me excited, every day, to spend time with you. I love that you found me. I love that you make me feel loved and appreciated every day. I love that you have made me laugh every day of our relationship and I have not stopped smiling since I met you. Most of all, I love that you are not afraid to be yourself 100% of the time and through your support and encouragement you allow me to be my most authentic self.

Jackie: Lindsay, I love you because you are ambitious, caring, and strong willed. Your drive to succeed in whatever you do is infectious and makes me fall in love with you every day. I love that you encourage me to be my best in every aspect and that you are the most competitive person I know. I love that you understand the seriousness of board games. I love that I never have to explain why America is the only country that matters during the World Cup and Olympics because you already own the jerseys and flags to show your support. I love the way you smile when I am being silly, and how you always make me feel loved and appreciated for being myself.

(J) Because I love you

(L) Because I love you

(Both) We promise…

(J) to give you all the green skittles, and eat all the red and purple ones

(L) to keep you awake on our long road trips to Disney

(J) to never diminish the things that are important to you,

(L) to never keep score, even if I am totally winning

(J) to allow you to sleep in as long you need

(L) to try and be a morning person

(J) to tell you what’s on my mind

(L) to give you time to sort out your feelings

(J) to be your co-pilot in exploration and adventure

(L) to be your sounding board, sous chef, and copyeditor

(J) to work things out

(L) to make things work

(J) to love you

(L) to love you.

(Lindsay reads first, then Jackie)

Lindsay/Jackie, you are my best friend, my family and my partner in adventure. Because I love you, I promise to treat you the way you want to be treated and with the respect you deserve. I promise to challenge you intellectually and continue to grow as a partner and spouse. I will deeply appreciate all of your positive qualities and not let the passage of time dull that appreciation. When life challenges us, I promise to focus on the resiliency of our love. And if I stumble and fail to live up to my promises, I will look you in the eyes, hold your hands, and apologize with sincerity. Today, I promise you that, though the world may change and we may change with it, I will always love you, always treasure you and always share my life and all that I am with you. I will be my best for you, for as long as we both shall live, from this day on, to infinity and beyond.

Glass, Kiss, Exit to come!

Whew! Lets get this ceremony over! Next up glass, Jackie was very serious!

Lauren and Tara came around to hand us our rings

Jackie had a little trouble with mine…. I told her to shove it (the ring I mean…)

I think this is the part where she said I wanted Jackie to have a million dollars (I said dogs)

And KISS!

Ceremony DONE! Next up, photos at WP, Yacht Club, and Beach Club!

After the ceremony, we were escorted behind the WP for the arch shots, which honestly I thought would be hokey, and they are some of my FAVES!

Back inside, apparently Maddy fell up the stairs and got her lollipop stuck in her hair, so Tara was helping to get it out…

Jackie was just happy to sit for a bit while Nate set up for the family photos!

My immediate fam

My parents

My sisters

My mom's family… My uncle James asked if that was where he was supposed to stand!

My dad's family

One with Kenny, we love Kenny and this photo was necessary!

About this time, our organist/pianist came up to us, extremely excitedly, to say how much he enjoyed playing for us, how much he enjoyed our ceremony and how much he loved us as a couple. He hugged us both and made me cry and then asked for a photo! I am going to send this to Diane and see if she can get it to him.

Our sidekicks!

Then while everyone went to go set up for the staged exit, Diane and Jackie got down to do my bustle.

Ok I cannot choose pictures to save my life, so you're just going to have to see almost all of them. More to come!

I just love Maddy so damn much!

Onto the staged exit!

A CM brought us some sprite, and I haven't had actual sugary sprite in probably 10 years, so that was a treat! I figured at least it was clear and I probably needed the sugar going into the reception!

Nate asked if we wanted to go back to WP and take photos or go to Yacht Club and we both loved the idea of getting photos at Yacht Club and walking to Ariel's from there. Well, our feet didn't love that idea, but our faces did! Apparently our van had a flat tire, so a Mears van and driver came to pick us up. Diane AND Nate told him we were going to Yacht Club, and then he drove us to Beach Club. Luckily Jackie and I were watching and said "um you just passed the Yacht Club, we are NOT going to Beach Club." He gave a huge sigh like this was the biggest inconvenience ever (hello, you were told this twice before…) and then turned around. We got to see Nate and Kim U-Turn behind us (Thank God they were following us!). Then we drove up to the Yacht Club security gate and the driver goes "Uh, what are you doing here are you checking in?" Yeah dude. We are checking in in wedding attire with our bridal party. ***?!?! This guy had such a bad attitude and absolutely no sense of humor. Like this must have been the worst day of his life, and if it was, I'm so sorry for him, but if it wasn't, he should have sucked it up and done his job without the attitude. ANYWAY, we got to YC and took these amazeballs photos:

On our way back inside, this woman stopped us to say how beautiful we looked and congratulations. I noticed her birthday button and wished her a happy birthday (as you do at WDW!) and she gave us such sweet marriage advice and I cannot for the life of me remember what it was. Seriously what was it?! Anyway, I love that Nate got a photo of her!

We split up and the girls went ahead to the pre-reception and we took our time at YC and walking to Ariel's.

Ship Shape! LOL because it’s a gym and we worked in a gym and we wanted to send a photo to Awesome John…

CM's probably laughing at us posing with Ship Shape… and then saying really really nice things!

Reception up next!

When we got to Ariel's, Diane took us around to show us our details and explain how the reception timing was going to work. We met our servers, John and Wayne (how awesome is that?!), and we met Charles Miles, who could not have been more perfect for us right from the start. He was so excited, he greeted us and Nate enthusiastically and then double and triple checked everyone's names, timing, and music. I just cannot say enough great things about DJ Miles! Diane also showed us our crystal from the Cinderella chandelier! LOVE!

After we looked around, John brought me some fruit from the pre-reception so I could have something in my system, and Jackie told him I liked strawberries so he brought two and stole some strawberries from others so that I could have more. <3 He was so sweet! Apparently after this we toasted ourselves on a fabulous day thus far, as we do. LOL.

Here are some of the reception details:

Our table

Ceremony floral was brought over to set on our table at the reception!

Our bouquets were stashed on the cake table!

Love my Donald feet!

Next up, our entrance and first dance!

In case I didn't mention it already, I love your wedding. Your pictures are great. It looks like a romantic and fun day.
I can't wait for more, I'm addicted.

I love that you took your time and stopped for great photos on your way to the reception. What a great way to just take it a little easy and soak in all of that magic - which is my VERY favorite. I mean, after all, we only get married once (says the lady who just celebrated 22 years of wedded bliss!)!! These photos are true treasures!

And, hey! I spy StevieB and Shalon!!!! SO fun!

The feet and the Mickey heads! Freaking awesome! I am loving this!
Thanks for following! I was obsessed with our Donald feet/Mickey head cake for months before the wedding and I still love it today!

Thank you! It was the BEST day!

Yes! We were happy to take our time going back to the reception. So many wonderful people stopped to talk to us, it truly was magical! Congratulations on your 22 years!! What a great example for us!

When our guests entered Ariel's, they pretty much freaked at their place setting/favor ear hats and this was the result:

We had DJ Miles annouce my parents, our sidekicks, Maddy and her parents, and us in that order and we all walked in to Another One Bites The Dust because why not?! It encouraged dance walking, and I am a fan of dance walking.

Waiting for the announcements…

Annnnn we're off!

Then we started our first dance to Marry You by Bruno Mars, because we're goofy and I like it.

"I think I wanna marry you"

And then we asked our sidekicks to grab a guest and come dance with us! (Love Tanya's enthusiasm)

DJ Miles played one more song for all of us to dance to before we broke for toasts and brunch!

(I have no idea what is happening in this photo but I love it)

Next, toasts and brunch in reception part 2!

My dad started off the toasts. It was short & sweet, briefly acknowledging my mom and Jackie as a new daughter.

Then my sister got up there. My little sister. I swear she tried to kill me with tears. She made us laugh, she definitely made me cry, everyone was blown away by her speech. It was incredible and heartfelt and just the best thing ever.

Next up, Tara. Tara has known Jackie since middle school and we really had no idea what she was going to say…

Even Tanya had no idea what she would say…

But she told a story and it was grand!

Tara maaaay have been a little tipsy… LOL! She really does have the BEST faces!

Afterwards Jackie said a few words, just to thank people for coming and then my uncle James said the blessing for our meal.

FOOD! So I think we have photos of everything at the reception except the Brioche French Toast w/ Bananas Foster sauce.

Steamed veg w/ olive oil

2-ply bacon (BEST!)

Scrambled eggs

Parm crusted chicken (marinara on side)

Pastries!

Pasta station w/ alfredo

Pasta station w/ marinara

YUM!!!
