I am a bit annoyed by the parking fee at resorts, though if we had chosen to stay at Shades of Green we would still be paying a parking fee. It's a clear money grab, as it's not like they have to build parking to accommodate an influx of guests suddenly driving. It's also funny that Magical Express from MCO is still free. It's not enough to keep us from staying offsite though.

I got my spring bonus so I paid off my vehicle and then the rest of the resort money due. I already had money put aside for the tickets. We have over $1000 on Disney rewards card to use for food so we should be good. (DS1 and both GF's are paying for their own food and GF2 is paying us for her ticket).

One of the biggest reasons Magical Express is free is that it keeps people onsite to spend more money. It's a loss leader for them but if it weren't profitable, they would have the data to show that and would charge for it. Also, because they contract it out to Mears, there might be some issues with charging because right now it's free so if you wait, you get what you paid for. If people get charged it'll put a larger strain on the partnership to meet certain KPIs and staffing levels. Does that mean I think they'll never charge for it? No, but I do think it'll have to stay cheaper than parking onsite and probably a flat rate each way.

Trip planned for DS high school graduation! We arrive June 3rd (Graduation is at 2, June 2nd) Our family and 2 other families with graduating seniors going .. all 3 families staying at Pop Century.. We plan on Disney everyday but the 8th and 9th we will be venturing over to Universal -

We will be there June 3rd -checking out June 14th -
Family 2 - arriving June 3rd - leaving June 10
Family 3 -arriving June 3rd -leaving June 8th

Alright, I got a flexible game plan for tomorrow morning fp's planning! Or at least I hope I do :laughing:

I really do not want to get up at 5:30 am for 6 am but I think it is going to be my best bet for FOP! I am fairly flexible out of the 10 days, I only have 2 set in stone, and one is morning only LOL so I could potentially park hop if I needed to and just rope drop that day at the set park.

I forgot to join the thread before now!

We will be there 6/23 - 6/28 staying at Pop Century. Then we are heading over to Port Canaveral for a 3 day cruise on Carnival. We are super excited! This will be our third time staying at Pop, we love it there. It's me, husband, and daughter (8).

We were last there October 2016. We are looking forward to all the new things, especially Pandora, new restaurants, and the new things my daughter will be tall enough for (she's a peanut at 45").

For the current question, my FP+ priorities will of course be FOP and 7DMT. Definitely Soarin to see the new scenes and for my daughter to ride it for the first time. She was tall enough last trip, but the lines were insane and we had FP+ TT, which she also loved. Now we will switch it up.

Also want to get BTMR, it was in refurb last time we were there, so my daughter has never rode it. I'm hoping to get her on Space Mountain and Everest (my fav)...she's tall enough but not sure if she will be up for them.

Hoping for some pixie dust and a chance to get a sneak peek at Toy Story Land, but not counting on it.

So excited for our trip, we took a year off Disney last year to do a cruise, and I miss it so much!

My three boys...Well and husband groaned at me wanting to see the frozen ride with our CL FP (one left over from HS day ) . I told them all too bad, they will suffer through it

Yup! I got 2x2 person rides (4 people) for 40$. They are good for 90 after purchase so I waited till our dates were over. Only down side is if the balloon never goes up during our trip we lose the money >.>

That's a REALLY good deal! I'm probably going to haul DS over there before 10:00 one morning while we're still at POR because we can ride on a DVC discount for about that much. The drawback in our case is we've got the 8:30 - 10:00 window for a $10 ticket, and if it doesn't go up before then, the discount changes to 20% off, which is fine, but it's not $10.

So I got up before the sun this morning, booked my fast passes for my onsite stay, I don't like I can't book all 10 days though. Instead I have to get up at the butt crack of down again in 30 days and do it again. :crazy2:

Anyway, I was able to get just about all we wanted, FOP, 7DMT, Soarin and Frozen Ever After plus others. Those were the big ones we wanted first the second week we will work on the other big ones

I hope you enjoy the ride! DH and I snagged a same day FP on NYE (!) and was first time we rode it. Also met Anna and Elsa because why shouldn't two kidless adults on NYE meet princesses?? :rotfl:

Anyway-like nearly all character meets they were fabulous! the ride-eh-once and done for us, but I know others love it.

If you onsite is before offsite you should have a rolling 60 fp window now. So check tomorrow maybe to see if the first day of offsite stay has opened, if they are back to back. You should have a "rolling" 60 day period until last day of onsite stay (actually I think it is checkout of your resort day before that window closes-is a glitch I have noticed last fall, if still going on).

My family and I are unexpectedly going June 23 - 28, 2018. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge. We are taking my son's best friend == it's his first time!! It's also our first time taking one of my son's friends on vacation with us. We are also meeting up with another one of my son's friends and his family. My son, his BFF and his other best bud are all football brothers and are all graduating high school. Looking forward to getting that iconic pic of all three of them with their graduation Mickey Ears on in front of the castle!!!
