*** Yay May! OFFICIAL MAY 2020 THREAD!!! Flowers are starting to bloom! ***

Wellllllll.…….we made the switch. Moved our May 5-10 dates to mid-August. Fingers and toes crossed that the world is in a healthier place by then. Not because of the trip, but because the world really needs to catch a break here. Anyways, you guys have been a great community to go on this journey with!

The WDW site now has all After Hours (including Villains) through the end of May listed as "cancelled."

I checked MDE, and my VAH tickets for 5/8 are now gone.

This is now the first official cancellation for our 5/2 trip. I have a feeling it won't be the last. 😢

This is not the fault of Disney, but I just couldn't take the anxiety of watching another fully planned trip be canceled. I moved my May 29-June 6 trip today to July 3- July 11. This trip will be the third time I have made dining reservations, airlines, and fast passes. So either this trip will be "three strikes and your out" or "third times the charm"...I am hoping and wishing for the pixiedust:charm.

All of my mid-May 5/12-15 reservations and FPs are still showing up in MDE. Our cruise plans are also still showing for the Dream 5/15-18. I sat my daughter down and talked with her about the trip and the possibility of it being canceled. She wants to wait to the bitter end to cancel and so do I, so we are in for the long haul. Disney will have to cancel for us not to go. I did get a call from Southwest today about our returning flight being canceled, but they were able to change it another flight with an extra stop.

I guess this will save me a phone call at least. We already rescheduled for Sept but we still have the tickets for AK after hours on 5/09. So far, they are still showing in my MDE acct but it’s only a matter of time.:worried:

Yep, same here. On the bright side, our room only deposit got back on my card today too.

Mine never showed up on MDE. Wondering if I need to call ticketing for a refund or it will be automatic.

Not that it matters now, but it's possible you weren't looking in the right place. I thought our VAH tickets weren't in MDE at first when they didn't show up in My Plans, but I eventually realized that they were under Tickets instead.

As for refunds, the verbiage for the March cancellations said that tickets would be automatically refunded, so I would imagine that the April - May cancellations would be the same.

I just checked MDE and my After Hours tickets are still there, May 26th is our date at DAK:( Still holding out hope for Memorial Day opening some experiences cancelled :sad1:

We were booked on a charter through our local department store travel department. I got an email from my agent today stating that their agency is cancelling all charters up to 5/25/20 :( We were on the 5/10-5/16 charter. I knew deep down that we weren’t going to make the May trip, but it still was a sad day. Now we are limited to their other charter dates that are opened. There are Sept./Oct/Nov dates or we can wait until next spring. I am trying to look at the bright side because I have always wanted to see Disney at Halloween or Christmas. We were only 41 days away and I had great reservations :(

Now that you say that I remember seeing them on the app under tickets when I was checking to see if they had changed the dates on our APs yet. Thanks!

I think the hardest part was knowing the countdown was on and we were all getting close. I hope you reschedule soon and have the best trip.
(Personally, I’m looking forward to the food and wine festival now).

Two calls, three hours on hold later, and we are officially moved to August. Ooof it hurts. My eight year old was watching me scroll through and systematically delete our FPs and dining plans, and when I got to our Hollywood Studios day, he cried "Not Tower of Terror, I can't watch!!!!!!!!" and ran off. We had to significantly downgrade our hotel category and ticket length as well, which is hardest I think on me--the kids took it quite well.

Trying to stay positive but I definitely feel crushed. We've been luckier than some with this virus, but we've also been impacted. So after a rough couple weeks this is hard to swallow. Still, any disney vacation is better than no disney vacation.

Well I have begun the process of canceling and changing things. After I saw VAH had been canceled pretty much felt like the torch has been snuffed on May. So I guess it is bye to Flower and Garden and Hello Food & Wne. Maybe will go to Horror nights over at Universal, have always wanted to attend that in the past, so now perhaps will be the time.
I pray for our Country and the World this virus becomes under control for all of us.

Did anyone who has moved their May trip purchase tickets with Undercover Tourist? We are probably going to move but the only thing I can't figure out is if UT will move our ticket dates.

ETA: It looks like I can do this directly on the WDW website. I noticed that all of May is blocked out so I can only change my dates to June 1 or later (which was the plan) so that's another sign that May might not be an option.

I sent an email to undercover tourist to in quite as we have some specific date park hopper tickets. They replied if the park is still closed during those dates the tickets would be honored straight across through December 15th 2020.

Yeah I know that would be the case, I'm more worried about getting things moved over in time for the new FP date (which would be around April 20). With how late Disney has been with official announcements I'm not certain they would for sure announce a May closure by that date.
