One particular owner of most DCL Facebook groups

Not all groups listed on her site are controlled by her. They're just listed there. Ours is listed but not associated with her at all. I'm really sorry some have had such a bad time with her, but I don't think it's as wide-spread as some would have you believe. You can tell pretty quickly if you're in a good group or not. If you don't like it--leave. No-one is keeping you there. Look for another group. If you can't find one and it's important to you, start one.

I just found out our cruise has two groups that happened to start at about the same time. They have kind-of merged and are friendly to each other. The smaller group has even suggested that people join the larger one.

So, here is what I would do, if I had to do it, which I don't, because my cruise group is being run by a sane and lovely person:

1. Start a different cruise group. Make sure the description emphasizes that this group is ONLY people on the cruise, no sales allowed.
2. Use questions (like my cruise group's owner) to screen people, which is to say we required stateroom number and maybe something else?
3. Promote where allowed. (Edited)
4. HAVE A GROUP MEMBER WITH STRONG NERVES JOIN INSANE GIRL'S GROUP. Do not post about the other group! Heck, do not post.
5. When INSANE GIRL goes psycho, have your mole(s) PM the people being psycho'ed at and invite them to the Happy Sane Group.
6. Button hump anything in INSANE GROUP that suggests people are fake or whatever (report to Facebook).
7. Organize a Mixology and a smaller FE group.
8. Keep on sniping, per 5.
9. Be happy.

The reason I'm saying not to have the group owner be the mole is because the insane person would probably be on to that. Have someone who has activity only visible to friends/family who is not group owner be the mole.

Most of this doesn’t make sense.

The only way she could take over a FB group and kick people off is by being made an Admin and having the original admins quit. What are the odds?

Once you’re n the ship, it’s hard enough to run into people you want to see, let alone randomly. And you’d have to know what they look like.

And how are people scammed out of money? There’s no prepayment for activities.

I think DCL would be interested in such activities if it is causing them ANY lost money...

I don’t understand the reasoning behind her madness. I’ll have no problem staying away from FB cruise groups and I hope she doesn’t start this stuff here.

Don't judge them all based on that. I have been in quite a few and she has never been a part of them. Trust me, the word on social media is out about her.

What is her reasoning for starting all of the groups? Only someone actually going on that cruise should start the group and be the admin. Is she a TA and trying to drum up business?

She starts them to sell her cheap FE stuff. I personally have not had a run in with her, but know some who have. It was not pretty. She's pretty controlling.

Good to hear this and I really hope it's true. I've seen her on FB and frankly I'm surprised that she has so many followers and that people seem to be letting her control everything.

I guess we got lucky. She just linked our FB page with my hubby listed as admin. I don't ever spend time on the page because I don't see how it benefits me in any way.

i checked the FB cruise page for my June cruise - but she is not listed as the admin. She must have a super secret group.

Reporting this woman’s problems with her FE dealings could cause Disney to frown upon or enforce a no Fish Extender protocol. Extreme? Yes. But wouldn’t surprise me anymore.

How this ONE person has so much “power” is beyond me? I’m not on FB.

TA mention or selling is strictly not allowed on her pages abd I have yet seen any TA services offered by her. That is one thing I like there is no selling. Maybe that is why or FB has a strict policy as they want their users buying ad space from them. Nit hiding it in posts.
