Made it through the last morning of school, teachers played a kickball game against the 5th graders.
Baylor pitched against me and got me out. I told my students in the stands that he was grounded. They started chanting "Baylor's grounded" over and over...
It was funny.
Then this afternoon was the funeral.
I went back to school this evening and worked after my physical therapy and now my desk is cleaned off.
Time to get ready for this trip.
Most of Baylor's is done. I'll finish it tonight then get busy with mine tomorrow.
First things first though.
Hair appointment and 9 am a new set of nails and pedicure at noon!
Will just need to wash a couple of loads of laundry tonight.
I think all of the shopping is done.
Not so much left to do!

I haven't decided if this is allergies or a summer cold, I guess it doesn't matter. The claritin helps, so I'm sticking with it. I have an arsenal of meds down in the purple locker so I'll be fine...

Anyhoo, we slept all evening so I'm just waking up and seeing that it's 12:24 am.... Not one bit of packing got done.

Plans look great! You will be in MK for my birthday!! We were there last year for my birthday, but this year I will just have to live vicariously through you guys.

Next year I'm in the same room, same grade.
One of my teammates retired so I'm moving over into her spot (prime location) when we get back from Disney. A new teacher will be brought in later in the summer.

Do you use GradeSpeed? We're starting that next year. We used to do GradeQuick, and I loved not having to average grades. Now, we do it the old-fashioned way, since they took out our programs.

Would you like us all to send you replacement tortoises?
You could have a yard full of them when you get back home!

Wigd-have a great day getting pampered and packed! I hope you are feeling better! We all have colds here and it's no fun. I bet just knowing you are headed to Disney will make you feel better though...we've just had days and days of state testing to make us feel crummier!

SOOOOOOOO I just unearthed myself after three solid days of school functions, and I am relieved that I didn't miss you!!!! I have to go back and read the 7 pages I missed! No school today (Nolyn's Montessori is closed today) So I am here trying to catch up with LIFE!! Four day weekend

And I think you are on the 4 day cruise? So you should not miss any of the restaurants, then, b/c you repeat one. So just see what night you have which restaurant and try to maneuver. the Paolo's BRUNCH is fantastic!!!!

Can't wait to hear all about it!!!!

Ughhh report cards I hate doing report cards.
Our report cards are electronic and the checklist is fast, but the narratives are a killer. We write LONG narratives for each child. It takes so much time.

What grade are you teaching next year? Since we still have 19 more days, we haven't gotten the official word. But since I just moved, I'd like to think my principal won't put me through that torture again.

If anyone is looking for a teaching job in New York City, there are openings here

We'll start packing this weekend, if we can reclaim our suitcases from the cats. Apparently, suitcases are ideal cat beds... The minute we pull them out of the closet, the cats claim them. You should take MeMom's suggestion and put a suitcase in the backyard, maybe it will attract Scales!

I need to do laundry & perhaps go shopping as well....

It might be a good idea for me to get my suitcase up out of the basement and maybe my clothes will magically jump into it!

I hope you're enjoying your morning of beautification, wigd! I'm relaxing this morning, on the first day of a 4-day weekend. Next week we have one full, regular day, one full-length day with exams, and 2 1/2 days with exams. Plus our new principal is coming to visit next week.

I think I'm going to go clean out my car and then, perhaps, go look into trading it in. I'm feeling a need for something a bit bigger than my Civic. But first, we're going to go have breakfast with my dad.

I'm so jealous that you guys are leaving on Sunday, AND that you get to do a cruise, but I'm consoling myself with the knowledge that we leave in just over a week, and we're going to get to see you guys while we're there!
