Thanks, was just coming back to post I found it. Statement of condolences. Nice but completely uninformative.
Note the timeline was originally published by the family on Facebook and shared with the public.
But this is surreal. No info in the statement from Disney(?). The statement from the Florida health authority:
'A spokesperson for the Florida Joint Information Center on COVID-19 also couldn’t comment on the circumstances surrounding the man’s visit to Florida or when he contracted the virus.
“If the individual is a California resident, this would be a California case and would be under California’s jurisdiction,” they said in an email.
“Florida is taking all necessary precautions to keep Floridians safe and healthy. This includes ordering an additional 2,500 test kits to prepare for potential testing surge, installing four drive-thru testing sites to test healthcare workers, first responders and those older than 65 and issuing an Executive Order to limit mass gatherings in bars, restaurants and beaches," according to that statement. '
Repeat what I said earlier,
Around here every conference or event where attendees have been determined to be infected the responsible parties have been communicating with the public. So this falls on the local health authority, the conference hosts (who may or may not be Disney, we don't know) and the hotel (if he was at a hotel). This fits the WHO and CDC aims to identify transmission, warn people as needed to quarantine. So somebody should be saying something.
The one conference I was involved in where somebody turned out to be sick our public health officer was on tv and twitter warning people. But in Florida, 'If the individual is a California resident, this would be a California case and would be under California’s jurisdiction.'
Again, hopefully I'm missing something.
