Man I sure am glad the flu comparison is still going...
We aren't like that here IMO as in using that criteria for it purely my opinion as it stands at the moment but of course hard to say never ya know (not that I don't get your overall concern though). And to be honest I haven't read anything regarding Italy doing that with respects to using BMI as a deciding factor.
Interesting yeah hadn't heard of that. I wouldn't extrapolate that out to here because I think we treat those variables differently in our nation (yes never say never though) but I get being concerned at the thought. What I read was from a doctor directly in a hospital in Italy. No one over 40 years old or with a BMI over 25 was being intubated for ventilation, at one point in the outbreak there.
No...
I will say it is a stupid thing to even consider wanting to get. You would unknowingly put others at risk.
just plain stupid
Why?Man I sure am glad the flu comparison is still going...
I assumed sarcasmWhy?
Your statement that if you caught it you had a 50/50 chance of dying is what you should be ashamed of.Not sure why I would be ashamed of myself.. its the truth. Plenty of people who aren't in the demographics we are told are vulnerable ARE dying from this..if you get it, you don't know what the outcome is going to be. You didn't add too much to the discussion there.
I think it's a thought provoking question not a stupid one.So sad
Healthy young people dying which is why I said earlier this was a stupid question or thing to want to get to “get it over with”!
Your statement that if you caught it you had a 50/50 chance of dying is what you should be ashamed of.
"people like throwing around the small percentages of dying from it, but the reality is 50/50 if you get it, you live or die, and you can't know 100% which it will be."
Your contribution to the discussion is alarmist and wrong. The vast majority of people who catch the virus DO NOT DIE, and saying that half of them will die is just irresponsible.
ford family
I guess you don't understand what I was getting at then... I did not say 50% of people who get this WILL die. I said if you get it, you really don't know what the outcome will be.. you will live or you will die (50/50)..
why anyone would want to voluntarily risk it without better protective options in place baffles me.
